Fall Challenge 2015: Questions/Problems in Completed Tasks

For task 25.4, book 2, there's a specific Wikipedia list that's supposed to be used to determine which continent a country is on: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...
On that list, the Cocos (Keeling) Islands are listed as a part of the Asian continent, so book 2 must be set in Asia, not Oceania.

Task 25.9 requires that the letters H I P appear in the title (not subtitle or series title) of each book. Neither Kitchens of the Great Midwest nor Stone Mattress: Nine Tales have HIP in the title so neither book will work for this task.

The book you've linked to, Cold Black Earth, was written by Sam Reaves not Aline Templeton. Wrong link? Please repost with the book written by Aline Templeton.

Sorry, that's the second time this season I've linked to the wrong book. Hopefully I got it right this time (Post # 2764)

Anne, since it doesn't really fit the way the task is written, please repost this task and include a link to the help thread post where it's approved so I can pick up the points.

Task 25.3, option 1 requires that you include in your post not only the country in which the book is set, but also the country in which you live. Please repost this task including the required information.

Task 25.4 requires that you state in your post that both books are new to you. Please repost this task including the required information.

Task 30.6, option 3 requires that you include the first sentence from the book that demonstrates the first person perspective in your post. Please repost this task including the required information.
No need to repost any of the other tasks in this post. They have already been recorded.

Task 5.1 requires a book that includes a natural disaster. Wild Heat appears to involve forest fires set by an arsonist. Arson was specifically not allowed in post 28 of the help thread.
Task 30.10 requires that the two books combined have a total of at least 500 pages. The books you've linked to have a total page count of 488 pages.

Hunted appears to be an ebook/audiobook without a print edition.
If it has not yet been approved for length, you should ask for approval by posting in the ebook page verification thread: eBook verification thread.
When you claim a book in Completed Tasks that exists ONLY in ebook format, you must provide a reference to the ebook verification document when you post ex."Approved @ line #" or provide the post number in the ebook verification thread where it was approved ex. "Approved post #"
Please repost this task with the required information.

Please see #12 in the Posting Requirements:
12. It's fine to include more than one newly completed task in a post. If you do include more than one task, the tasks must be listed in numerical order, lowest to highest.
This makes record keeping much easier. Please repost with your tasks in order.

Task 25.9 requires that the letters H I P appear in the title (not subtitle or series title) of each book. Neither Night Forbidden nor Waking the Dead have a P in the title so neither book will work for this task.

Seabiscuit: An American Legend will not work for task 50.1, option 1. Biographies of famous animals were specifically not approved in post 58 of the task help thread.

Oops, my bad. I didn't remember to check the Help Thread. Will do some book swapping!

For the SRC, the moderators use physical copies of books to verify page count for ebooks. Although there is a paperback listed for Running with the Wind, there is no page count information listed on Goodreads. It is up to the challenge participant to resolve issues concerning page count before claiming a book for points. You can have a Goodreads librarian research the page count and update the Goodreads database by asking here: Anyone with librarian status....
After the information shows up on the paperback's main page, please repost this task in its entirety to claim your points.
No need to repost any of the other tasks in this post. They have already been recorded.

Reposts must be complete, including links. Please repost.

It's MG+ so it'll work, you just have to include the info in your post.

Note that I've posted another task since this one went up; my current totals can be found here in post 2925.

Task 15.7 requires that the total number of pages be found in the first publication date of that book (not the edition). The hardcover of The Death of Bees you linked to was Published January 2nd 2013 by Harper (first published 2012). Since it was first published in 2012, all the page numbers must be found in 2012 so a 320 page book will not work.

Task 25.8, option 1 requires that you include a link to IMDb in your post to show the TV series. Please repost this task with the required information.

Task 30.5 requires that the middle initial of the author of book 2 be the initial of the middle name of the author of Book 1. The middle initial for Anne Wilson Schaef is W. Therefore, the middle initial of the author of book 2 must also be W. The pairing with Flora J. Solomon will not work.

No, I have all your 5 pointers, so that's 50 points. Then I have:
10.2, 10.3, 10.4, 10.6, 10.7, 10.8, 10.9 = 70
15.3, 15.4, 15.5, 15.8, 15.10 = 75
20.1, 20.3, 20.5, 20.6, 20.9 = 100
25.1, 25.3, 25.4, 25.5, 25.8, 25.10 = 150
30.1, 30.2, 30.3, 30.6, 30.8, 30.10 = 180
50 + 70 + 75 + 100 + 150 + 180 = 625

Task 25.4 requires that you state in your post that both books are new to you. Please repost this task with the required information.

Task 20.3, option 1 requires that you read a book found specifically on Catie's owned-in-bedford bookshelf (the one linked in the task description). While Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire does appear on her bookshelves in general, it does not appear on the one specific to the task so it will not work.

Task 20.2, feature E specifically states that the main page genre must be History and that no variations, such as Historical Romance or Historical Fiction, may be used.
