Dr. Abin | 159 comments Welcome Nitesh. Try reading more and more; that skill and grit what you are in need of shall creep upon you without your noticing it, for we all are learners as long as attainment of cent percent knowledge lies in infinity. Good luck

Welcome Nitesh :)
I am in same boat with you when it comes to poetry. Hindi poetry is fine, but English seems so much foreign to me. Wish one day we'll able to read and understand poetry.

This group is all about BRs and GRs. Have fun :)

Ok. I read the first few posts and realised that most of you here are pretty old. But nevertheless, I am Jyotsna Reddy and I am 11. I am an Indian but study in Singapore. I absolutely love reading and my other hobbies are rollarbalding, baking, watching YouTube. Yes that pretty much covers it. My fav kind of books are mystery and fantasy. My fav authors are Jacquline Wilson and Shannon Messenger. My fav series is The Keeper of the Lost Cities. You guys should totally try it. I hate green veggies ( don't judge me), my younger bro when he is bugging me, tight spaces, dentists and I can't think of anything else.
Soooo yeah!

As Dr. Abin prescribed, age is nothing but a number. Me too a YouTube addicted.
Fantasy is your favourite gene, you said? Why don't you join us for this month's BOTM. It's a popular fantasy book :)

Ramesh | 53 comments My name is Ramesh. I live in Los Angeles, California. I have been adding 1’s and 0 ‘s for more than 11 years in the IT industry. I am very much interested in anything that runs on electricity.
Have recently started reading fiction. Otherwise I'm mostly into technical books on Linux (and no! that's not the reason I've joined goodreads)

A noob at goodreads... please bear with me and don't hate me for that. I hate introductions. Will try to follow group rules barring the fact that I dont know what are spoiler tags.

message 274: by [deleted user] (new)

Welcome Ramesh :)
Hope you will have fun here.
We are always here to help you.
As for spoiler tag, it's an HTML tag to hide spoilers from other fellow readers, so the book won't be spoiled for them.
For example I've added a spoiler tag. To check what's inside, you have to click on "view spoiler" - (view spoiler)

You can add it by < spoiler > Your Message/Your Spoiler < / spoiler >, except spaces. I added them (spaces) so it won't be turn into a spoiler tag. There are many HTML tags too. You can check them by clicking on "(some html is ok)", which is on the top right corner of your comment box. I think being a tech person, this would interest you ;)

My name is Lily,
I recently got back into reading. How did I miss so much?
I am currently reading 'Clockwork Prince' by Cassandra Claire. I am really enjoying it so far. I recently purchased 'Second chance summer' and 'The unexpected everything' by Morgan Matson. I can't wait to read these. I also purchased 'Lady midnight' by Cassandra Claire which I have been after for ages and I finally have it!!!! Yay!! :) Last of all I purchased 'Demon Road' and 'Demon Road two: Desolation'. They sound so awesome. I like reading any genres :) I'm hoping to buy another two books soon

Hi! There's not that much to say about me. I love to read all genres besides the ones about ghost. Don't know why but the ghosts always get to me its weird. I am really quiet and shy around others so I like to listen more than talk. I recently read a book called All the Bright Places and I can't stop thinking about it... I play the clarinet and also swim

Ye-Jin, that book title reminds me of All the Light We Cannot See, though not sure whether or not they have any correlation.

Fatima, this is a great group for discussing classic literature. I haven't read anything Russian and would be glad if you could recommend a contemporary Russian book.

Hope you all enjoy your time here and get what you came looking for here... and more :)
