Levels of Play:
Charmed; Read 1 - 3 books
Beguiled; Read 4 - 6 books
Enchanted; Read 7 - 9 books
Spelled; Read 10 + books
Rules of Play: (You may do one or a combination of any of the below)
Option One; Read-it
Read books that contain Fae creatures in/on the book, cover or title. You may also read fairy tale remakes or a classic fairy tale if the book is long enough. Check out this Goodreads listopia for ideas: https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/2...
Option Two; Spell-It-Out
Using the names of Fae creatures (List follows in the next post. Feel free to use one listed or if you know of one not listed, feel free to use it instead.)Spell out the type of Fae Creature you desire using the first letter of the title, the first letter of the name of characters (first, last or nickname) or the first letter of the author's name (first or last). You may also ignore the 'A', 'An', 'The', etc. at the beginning of titles and start with the first significant word. So The Night Circus may be used as an 'N' title and A Kiss of Shadows may be used as a 'K' title.
Example of a Spell-It-Out:
E - Eric in Dead in the Family by Charlaine Harris
L - Lover Revealed by J.R. Ward
F - Flinn, Alex author of Beastly
Option Three; Say-It-With-Titles
Using titles, create your own Fairy Tale which includes one or more of the Fae.
I was out for a walk In the Woods when a Beautiful Stranger approached me. He said Three Wishes had been gifted to my parents at my birth to granted the day I turned Thirteen. The first was that I would see the Unseen. The second was that I should gain Key Of Knowledge to know and understand what was now seen. The third was that I have more than a Touch of Power to control and rule all around me. For I was Inhuman with powers about to be Awakened.
Option Four; Show-It-With-Covers
Using covers to tell your Fairy tale.
Example:
While out walking in the garden, I came across what I thought was a butterfly. It looked like this:
Upon closer examination, I realized it was a fairy and I captured it:
It had wings like a bat:
Fangs like a vampire:
and sharp Nails like this:
It talked to me and pleaded to let it go but I didn't. With its dying breath, it cursed me to walk alone:
Option Five; Create-A-Fae
Using bits and pieces from various images on covers. Just let us know which part you're using.
