I'm definitely in the minority here but I really hated Champion. There were so many bits of the plot that I couldn't get behind and I was really disappointed with the finale to this otherwise great series.

The Diabolic and The Empress by S J Kincaid. I could not get into them at all
Y'all are going to hate me for this but... Hunger Games. What absolute trash of a book. Granted, I watched the movies first on accident (it's a long story), but still. I got the impression that the books were great, but I didn't even bother reading past half way of the first book. The writing was awful, and it made all the characters dull lifeless. absolutely not heart or feeling in them. It's possibly the only case in which the movies are better than the books.
Lenny's Book of Everything by Karen Foxlee. I know it's a popular book about the value of family and having hope but the storyline was all over the place, the characters weren't too intriguing and I could guess what was going to happen from the start.
I truly dislike to all the boys I’ve loved before. The plot was incredibly predictable, the writing just wasn’t that great, and I really couldn’t pick up on any chemistry between Lara Jean and Peter. This is the one and only time I’ve been able to say that I liked the movie more than I actually liked the book.
Eragon by Christopher poulini. It is a high fantasy book. This book was the book where I learnt that I don’t really like high fantasy that much. Everyone talks about it and loves it so much that I tried reading it nearly 5 times but ended up dnf’ing every time. It may be a great book but not my type of book.I just didn’t connect with the characters and didn’t care about the story so .....yup that’s it.
Daughter of Smoke and Bone. I was so upset at how atrocious the story was, as well as how much money I wasted, that I didn't buy another book for a year
A lot enjoyed Ash Princess and even gave it a 5 stars. But I could barely get through the pages. I dnf the series because I just didn’t like the writing style and the plot. I’ve seen it but better.
In my opinion, Stargirl sucks. The characters were all just built on a bunch of stereotypes, and had no emotions or deepness to them. The only reason I finished it was because it was required reading for school.
Red Queen was a book with a lot of hype but I didn't enjoy! The cover is beautiful though and honestly that's what drew me in. It just didn't appeal to me and it was so typical YA.

Same! I could endure the first two books but the third was too much for me. I dnf-ed it. The After series was just too much for me.
Sadly I got so many...
It was really boring and I didn't care one bit of what happened to the characters and why they were there to being with
So, so bad
Really it's the same old thing we've read a thousand times
Did not mind The Raven Boys and wanted to like to for the LGTB representation of Ronan, but I just couldn't...
Mainly cause it's a bad rip-off of Red Rising
JFC, what a disastrous ending
So pointless and boring, I haven't read a single Cassandra Clare book since this one
This was the first book I remember hating, I was 9 years when I read Eragon and I loved it so much, but this one was just pointless and boring... I have to skip half the book and read the last two chapters to know what happened
I love, love, love Six of Crows so much, and I think this series is good to understand the Grishverse, but it's not really that good (thank god she improved her writing for Six of crows)
The Selection, Delirium, Uglies, To All the Boys I've Loved Before, Norwegian Wood (no hate I love his other works, but this one just a miss for me)

Jessica wrote: "The Selection, Delirium, Uglies, To All the Boys I've Loved Before, Norwegian Wood (no hate I love his other works, but this one just a miss for me)"Aw, I thought Uglies was the GOAT of a series:/ I do agree with the selection, though. What a waste of paper and brain cells

I've just read the premise of Uglies because it was mentioned and oh God it sucks. So superficial and boring. I would never bother reading it. Also, I agree with The Selection, I just couldn't connect with America and the story fell flat for me.
There are definitively A LOT of books I've read that are so not worth it. I read To all the boys I've loved before because the movie was out and i can say for sure Iliked the movie better, and the other books didn't get better, so it was a waste. Also, Fallen was atrocious for me. I read it a while ago and kept reading I don't really know why, I guess I liked angels, because all the characters were horrible. Even the book about Cam was better than the whole series, so I guess that says it all.

OMG me too! I thought I was losing my mind because people love it so much.

Janette wrote: "I did not like Ship It and don't recommend it. I love LGBT books but found this one gross for unrelated reasons. I read it a year ago and still remember how much I loathe it."Yeah, I tried to read this one and had to give up like 1/3 in. So blech.
The Red Queen series. I really liked the first books but the rest of them were not that good. I still haven't read the last book but I will, not looking forward to it though.

The Selection, I really didn't like the characters and I didn't care about the plot either, I just couldn't read the other books in the series...
Rosenrot wrote: "The Selection, I really didn't like the characters and I didn't care about the plot either, I just couldn't read the other books in the series..."Totally agree. I think I gave the book 2 stars to be nice but I really did not like it. The plot was boring and I hate conveniently contrived love triangles

agreed. it was clear to me who she would end up, and I didn't really like the dude that she didn't end up with. Plus, i HATE that in every single love triangle that i have ever read, the girl/guy always ends up with the second love interest introduced! SO predictable
“Keep reading. It’s one of the most marvellous adventures that anyone can have.” -Lloyd Alexander
Hey There!
I hope you and your family is safe during this time of crisis. I recently made an online book chatting website called- http://book-talks.com. Book-Talks is a platform where passionate readers like you and me and book readers from around the world can come and chat about their favourite books. For e.g. If you’ve read a very famous book then why not chat about the book with readers who have read the same book – share your thoughts on the book, the best moments and scenes in the book, post a fan edit for a part of the book you liked or disliked or even share some real-life experiences that you can easily relate with the book. I really really wish you would check Book-Talks and contribute in its aim for connecting book readers all over the world. Lastly, as said by Lloyd Alexander books are the best form of an adventure then why not share your adventure with others and also be of their adventures.
(PS: Thank you for spending your precious time reading this message. Everyone starts with that one subscriber, one follower and today I am doing that with my site so the biggest thank you to the very first visitors of my website. Matched by Allie Condie. Everyone loved this book and the trilogy, but I was going nuts trying to finish it. I've read better, more frightening dystopian novels. I felt as though it was trying too hard to be the YA version of 1984.
The fault in our stars....just read it recently and really didn’t get the hype, I just could not find it enjoyable and I’m still confused why everyone is obsessed with it....
If I Stay. I know some people loved it, but I honestly found it kinda boring. I mean the idea was great, but the actual story was not as.
The Maze Runner trilogy This is a series where people either love it or hate it and sadly I'm part of the later. It just bored me and the first book was okay yet as the story went on and on I liked it less and less. On top of that I hated the ending. Personally I felt like it just made the whole story feel like it didn't matter, just Ctrl+Alt+Delete the whole story I just read. Made me feel like they should have just stayed in the maze.
red queen, and honestly I might pick it up later in life but I really didn't like daisy Jones and the six it was so boring to me.
it would have to be the A Court of Roses and Thorns books. I have only read the first two and they weren’t that great at all. I’m not in a big hurry to read the next ones because they just didn’t grab my attention like the Throne of Glass series (which is the best series to exist). Since i haven’t yet read a lot of books (just got on the reading train for the first time since fourth grade) that might change later once i read more of the books i want to read!
I really didn’t like Eleanor and park and I hate myself for it. Maybe my expectations were too high. I just thought it was so rushed and boring :(
