I finished I Robot yesterday. It was written in the 50s and Asimov discusses the ethics of AI. Only now are our politicians trying to grapple with it. I'm in the middle of reading The Grass is Singing. It's 39c today and I was getting a little tired of reading about how hot and dry it was when it was getting hot outside.

The Talented Mr Ripley by Patricia Highsmith. I thought it was an OK read with some good tense moments. I didn't think Ripley was homosexual - he seemed too invested in himself to fancy another person. An interesting portrait of someone with a possible anti-personality disorder.

Krleza has another 1001 list book with a higher avg rating on goodreads, On the Edge of Reason, which I have on my to-read list. He isn't read much by English- language readers but a few of my GR friends have read it- Amanda may have read it in French possibly.
