During the masquerade ball at the Oliver's Hunger Bar and Grill in The Kingdom of Nebraska,Aunt Dimity and the Duke are bored with events and decide to peruse the dictionary. When they get toR is for Ricochet, Dorothy Dimity, the Changeling steps outside for a breath of fresh air. Out of the blue, a tornado strikes as the Raven Calls causing Aunt Dimity to be Hit by a Farm.

On A Night Like This,The Calling for the removal of masks at Fall of Night is unexpected on this hottest of Hot Island Nights in the Hunting Ground of the Coven. Dorothy didn't Cry Wolf at feeling Hunted since she was unconscious.

Final Task - The Sequel:

It had been 6 months since Carrie and her brother Max, Prodigal Son of the family became Blood Bound. She still felt some effects of the Flu, but most of it was gone.
They had been on The Road ever since. Right now they were on their way to the City of Night again. Always that damned place.
They had some friends who asked for help. They played an online game called The 5th Wave and some mysterious things had been happening there. Carrie had looked into it and discovered there was an eBully terrorizing the players. So she created a character there called Invisible Boy and acted as bait to see if the eBully showed himself.
And he did. His nickname was Zom-B Baby and he was a nasty one. She had tracked him down and found out he lived in the City of Light so they went to pay him a visit.
They stopped at a motel called Six Ways from Sunday to ask for directions. The owner was a nice ole country man and he was very chatty.
Max asked him if he knew how to catch the right road and the man started on saying "I'm a Stranger Here Myself: Notes on Returning to America After 20 Years Away..." and as he continued to talk Carrie started to go Out Of Focus... This place brought back a lot of memories. She started to think back to that winter.. and the Spider's Bite and Dr Dani and how it had been The Last Winter of Dani Lancing. Carrie shacked herself back to reality. No point on dwelling on the past. Their friends needed their help and she had an eBully to take care of.

It was a cold, dark night in October. The Obsidian sky had no stars in sight. I was visiting my best friend, Wendy, because someone was Dead in the Family and they were having an evening funeral. There was a Kiss of Frost on the leaves, and the wind was a real Boneshaker, causing me to tighten my scarf and pull my knitted hat over my ears. I made my way past the stone gates, and crept down a narrow path. I saw the caretaker, and asked him where I could find the funeral party. He pointed and said, “Fifth Grave Past the light.” I joined the mourners in celebrating the life of a beloved grandmother.
Later that night, I was staying with Wendy’s family in their cottage by the ocean. They liked to refer to the water as the Sea of Monsters because it was dark and mysterious, and no one felt comfortable going into it. Wendy’s little sister was trying to decide on a Halloween costume. Her choices were a witch, vampire or ghoul. I told her the ghoul was the scariest, so she gleefully put on the costume and wanted to wear it to bed since most Good Ghouls Do.

It was a cold, dark night in October. The Obsidian sky had no stars in sight. I was visiting my best friend, Wendy, in a little town called Salem’s Lot because someone was Dead in the Family and they were having an evening funeral. There was a Kiss of Frost on the leaves, and the wind was a real Boneshaker, causing me to tighten my scarf and pull my knitted hat over my ears. I made my way past the stone gates, and crept down a narrow path. I saw the caretaker, and asked him where I could find the funeral party. He pointed and said, “Fifth Grave Past the light.” I joined the mourners in celebrating the life of a beloved grandmother. Wendy was wearing an orange dress, which I thought was odd for a funeral. I asked her why that color, and she replied, “Orange is the New Black.
Later that night, I attended a gathering with Wendy’s family in their cottage by the ocean. They liked to refer to the water as the Sea of Monsters because it was dark and mysterious, and no one felt comfortable going into it.
As Wendy poured her third gin and tonic, I told her that perhaps she should switch to water. She burst into tears and cried that she was distraught because there was No Time To Say Goodbye to her grandmother. She hoped that she could drink herself into a stupor and stop the sadness. I said, ”Promise me something?” She tearfully nodded. “Stop this Wishful Drinking and pull yourself together. Your Grandma loved you, and you will always have your precious memories.” “I know,” said Wendy. “But we had just started reading The Book of Matt together, and now It will be so hard to finish without her.”
To cheer her up, I suggested we join her cousins, who were involved in a word game of alliteration. It was my turn to come up with three words that started with M. I said, “Magnolias, Moonlight and Murder. “ They all gave me a funny look, but soon continued with the game.
Wendy’s little sister was trying to decide on a Halloween costume. Her choices were a witch, vampire or ghoul. I told her the ghoul was the scariest. She told me her mom liked that one too because they didn’t have to pay for it. “What do you mean?” I asked. “We found it in the Lost and Found bin at school,” she replied with a grin. She then gleefully put on the costume and wanted to wear it to bed since most Good Ghouls Do.

Once upon a time, there lived a beautiful lady vampire who had an Obsession with Etiquette & Espionage. She practiced her skills all day, never forgetting to take high tea or to spy on her unsuspecting neighbors. No one suspected her of being anything out of the ordinary, though they thought it rather odd that she had her Lover Enshrined in the pantry. One day he had told her "Bite Me If You Can". And she had. The Sirensong of his blood called to her in a way she couldn't resist. She kept his body from crumbling to dust by using A Wrinkle in Time once a day and passing her unfortunate lover, Acheron, through it.
One evening, she was outside watching the trees When Lightning Strikes so that she could see The Light Fantastic. She was remembering her lover's last words to her: "Je suis Mort." She sighed. It was all so very sad. If only he had remembered the House Rules and had not asked to be bitten...
She put the melancholy feeling from her mind and opened her newest letter. Someone had been sending her cryptic messages in the mail, each one written on a ripped page from The Memoirs of a Beautiful Boy. Well. She would just have to fight Fire with Fire. After all, women had Equal Rites to be cunning and ruthless. She turned and put the message to the candle flame, and it shriveled until it looked like a Rose Under Fire.

The seas were rough and the waves powerful as I struggled to keep the boat steady. I knew that somewhere Beyond the Storm was the Island of the Blue Dolphins. It was getting really Touch & Go as to whether or not the little boat was going to survive the storm. I could feel the Burn building in my arms from fighting the wheel. Just when I though all hope was lost, The Shining sun broke through the clouds. It was almost as if Mother Nature was saying Seriously...I'm Kidding, don't be such a baby!

Banana Mania Bonus:
I awoke to find Anna Dressed in Blood the morning we were leaving on vacation. Seriously...I'm Kidding, but the shirt she'd chosen for traveling was the color of blood. The shirt reminded me of the Days of Blood & Starlight. I shuddered as I recalled The Titan's Curse, but that was no where near as bad as the Burn we got solving the The Mystery of the Fire Dragon on our last vacation.

Our destination was Driftwood Cottage, located on the Island of the Blue Dolphins. Once we arrived at the airport, it was Touch & Go on whether the plane would leave on time, due to a sudden summer thunderstorm. But just as we had lost all hope, The Shining sun broke out in the sky from Beyond the Storm and we were finally able to board the plane. This man and this Lady in Waiting were finally on our way.

We arrived at out island destination looking forward to a week of relaxation and quiet time spent on the beach. As we approached the cottage, we saw some locals who seemed to be very upset. They were holding up what they called "The Never List". A series of actions that must be avoided at all times to avoid invoking the Tiger's Curse. The Sigh of Haruhi Suzumiya (our travel agent) along with the expression on her face told me that this was yet another vacation that was about to go awry.

Carrie was bored so decided she would go for a walk in the forest. She loved being in the woods. Who wouldn't be with a father whose name is Dr Who Forever Autumn? She was deeply devoted to her father. He had a very important job taking care of people were undead and unemployed.
As she meandered through the forest, she heard a strange noise. She stopped because a girl alone in the woods has to be careful. After all, look what happened to Little Red Riding Hood. She didn't get bitten, but she was lucky. Carrie wasn't counting on being so lucky. She tiptoed along and when she caught a glimpse of something through the trees, she ducked behind a big tree and peeked around. On the ground up ahead, a man lay dead. She could tell he was dead because there was a Red Dragon chewing on his leg (ewww!!!) and he wasn't screaming. Carrie knew she would have been screaming.
Carrie wondered if the dragon was one of a trio known as the Sisters Red. They weren't usually out during the day. They were infamous for their pursuit of Night Pleasures. Carrie wasn't quite sure what that entailed and wasn't sure she wanted to know. She'd heard a bit of gossip, something about a Night Embrace and missing people. She started backing up, intent on getting the heck out of there when she tripped over a small branch and fell back on the ground.
The dragon looked up from its meal and shouted “Who goes there?”
Carrie cowered where she lay, terrified she would be the next meal.
The dragon said “Come here, if you dare!”
Carrie ran as fast as she could back to her room, dived into bed and pulled the covers over her head. She peeked out when she heard thunder. There must be a storm front coming in. She could see darkness rising and more lightning. She decided bed was a good place to be right now, grabbed her book and her flashlight and burrowed back under the covers.

Peeps let me tell you a story...
During The Mysterious Affair at Styles, Coraline was Branded with Cold Magic. This happened right After the Fall of The Last Unicorn when the Magic Bleeds into A Chalice of Wind. The Infamous Coraline then entered The House of Hades located Between the Realms of The Infernal Inferno. The experience changed Caroline forever and she was never the same again. What happened in there is ever a mystery that she never explained..

Before the ceremony in death it was a fairy tale land as seen in the mist in the mirror. Pies were always baked with four and twenty blackbirds and witches met to touch the dark and chant ‘fire burn and cauldron bubble’ while their potions, from the graveyard book, were brewing. This was no place from film though, no illusions from Jurassic Park in this land. Instead it was a land where things were turned on their head – the land where the ugly stepsister strikes back and the princess doesn’t always get Prince Charming.
Instead of Sleeping Beauty sleeping for 100 years, there’s a woman who went to bed for a year. She had spent spring feeling under attack, feeling that the evil under the sun was about to escape the well of ascension and feed on the people of earth. The time in bed was a time to think, to plot and to plan. At the end of the year she was ready for the final strike, which returned her world to the land of magic and wonder it had always been before.

Final Task:
The seas were rough and the waves powerful as I struggled to keep the boat steady. I knew that somewhere Beyond the Storm was the Island of the Blue Dolphins. It was getting really Touch & Go as to whether or not the little boat was going to survive the storm. I could feel the Burn building in my arms from fighting the wheel. Just when I though all hope was lost, The Shining sun broke through the clouds. It was almost as if Mother Nature was saying Seriously...I'm Kidding, don't be such a baby!

Bonus Task:
I awoke to find Anna Dressed in Blood the morning we were leaving on vacation. Seriously...I'm Kidding, but the shirt she'd chosen for traveling was the color of blood. The shirt reminded me of the Days of Blood & Starlight. I shuddered as I recalled The Titan's Curse, but that was no where near as bad as the Burn we got solving The Mystery of the Fire Dragon on our last vacation.

Our destination was Driftwood Cottage, located on the Island of the Blue Dolphins. Once we arrived at the airport, it was Touch & Go on whether the plane would leave on time, due to a sudden summer thunderstorm. But just as we had lost all hope, The Shining sun broke out in the sky from Beyond the Storm and we were finally able to board the plane. This man and this Lady in Waiting were finally on our way.

We arrived at out island destination looking forward to a week of relaxation and quiet time spent on the beach. As we approached the cottage, we saw some locals who seemed to be very upset. They were holding up what they called "The Never List," a series of actions that must be avoided at all times to avoid invoking the Tiger's Curse. The Sigh of Haruhi Suzumiya (our travel agent) along with the expression on her face told me that this was yet another vacation that was about to go awry.
