The most important thing to me is that they are believable in the role. Not that they look perfect. Having said that, Ren and Kishan are descendants of Genghis Khan so they have to be big enough to be credible as warriors of the time in which they were born. Kelsey will be easy I think. There are many good actresses who could pull her off. The villain, Lokesh, is an important if not the most important choice. A good villain makes the movie I think.(less)

Simpler Times

When I was a little girl, I couldn’t have conceived of the multitude of trials that face young people today. Times were simpler.  Yes, we had bullies and we needed heroes to show us how to be resilient in times of adversity, but back then, the good guys always won on tv and it was pretty easy to figure out who the villain was. Evil and violence, if we were lucky, were not things we fa

Goddess of Spring by P.C. Cast

summary-Lina’s trendy bakery in Tulsa is proving to be less than lucrative, and she must come up with a plan. When she stumbles upon an Italian Goddess cookbook, Lina can’t help but think she’s found the answer to her problem – even if it means invoking a goddess to save her business.

Soon enough, Lina finds herself face-to-face with Demeter, who has a plan of her own. She proposes that Lina exchange souls with Persephone, the Goddess of Spring, who will breathe new life into the bakery. In return, Lina must set order to the Underworld.
Before all this, Lina’s problems mostly involved sourdough and second dates. Now that she embodies the enchanting Persephone, Lina has weightier things on her mind – like the formidable task of bringing Spring to a world of spirits. But when the handsome, brooding Hades kindles a spark in her heart, Lina wonders if this Lord of the Underworld might be the man of her dreams…

The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan

goodreads summary-In this stunning collectors' edition of The Lightning Thief, Percy Jackson’s world is brought to life with eight full-color plates by the series jacket artist John Rocco. The edition comes in an elegant slipcase with a ribbon bookmark, rough edges, and cloth cover—a perfect keepsake for fans of this truly epic series.

After getting expelled from yet another school for yet another clash with mythological monsters only he can see, twelve-year-old Percy Jackson is taken to Camp Half-Blood, where he finally learns the truth about his unique abilities: He is a demigod, half human, half immortal. Even more stunning: His father is the Greek god Poseidon, ruler of the sea, making Percy one of the most powerful demigods alive. There's little time to process this news. All too soon, a cryptic prophecy from the Oracle sends Percy on his first quest, a mission to the Underworld to prevent a war among the gods of Olympus.

Elphame's Choice by P.C. Cast

goodreads summary-I was marked from birth as belonging to the Goddess Epona--but that didn't make my life easy. Because of my "blessings," I was set apart, worshipped, unable to make real connections with others. Then came the Feeling, and with it a glimpse of my destiny. It led me to the MacCallen castle of legend, deserted since the terrible Fomorian war. I followed the wordless call to breathe new life into a place long dead, but I didn't realize there were dark remnants of the war lingering in the nearby forest--victims and survivors who remained hidden. Others marked as different, powerful. Feared. My choice was now twofold. I could keep to the happiness and safety of my newfound home, or I could choose a path that led to something more terrible, more dangerous, more thrilling than anything I'd ever expected. And in that future I might never be alone again. . .

“I’m not a goddess.”
“You are. A goddess, a princess, a queen. As a soldier, I pledge myself to your service. As a prince, I grant you any boon within my power. As a man, I ask to sit at your feet and worship you. Ask me to do anything for you and I will do it.”

message 43: by Kelsey

Kelsey Hey Colleen! I'm not sure where to place my comment about why I deserve a galley of TV, so I'm leaving one everywhere that I follow u, LOL. I hope I don't get disqualified so I'll get rite 2 the point. The Tiger's Curse Saga has become my world, I reread each book every week, and luckily for me I got copies of your self publish version of TC and TQ. I have to tell u that I loved them even more. I got to see a side of Kelsey that I only imagined but when I read your description of her she became even more solid in my imagination (if that makes any sense). I have read so many other books as well to kill time before TV gets out but I always end up not being fully satisfied and finish rereading the best books ever, TC & TQ. Soon to be added to the list TV, TDm, & TDy. My passion for these books can be seen from a mile away, everything has to do with tigers and Indian culture. At work I relate everything I do with this series. I deserve a galley because deep down, honest to God I love this books, their super special to me and are truly the best books ever and I would slap anyone who dare say otherwise XD. Kat (Lost in Neverland) Hi Mrs. Colleen, not to bother you or anything....but I had an idea for you.
It would be really cool if maybe Tiger's Voyage, Tiger's Destiny, or Tiger's Dream, that some of the money from the profits could go to Tiger Conservation. It's terrible to think that this beautiful animal might be extinct in twelve years time. Since your series is so popular and tigers are the main idea in the story, money to the tiger conservation fund would be an awesome idea. You've probably already thought of it before though.
Just a thought. ;)
