I can't function without having reading time each day - even if it's only 10 minutes before the bedside light is switched off. But then my family are all readers so we all grew up doing it, and still do!

Nicola | 1161 comments I think I've got a pretty good list now - I was very hard on myself and chose as many as I could from my TBR list! Couldn't beleive I didn't have one book on there that started with an N tho'...

Of course these are all subject to change!

1. Spring clean your bookshelves by reading a book from your TBR

Cold Fusion 2000 by Karl Drinkwater Cold Fusion 2000 / Karl Drinkwater

2. Spring colours are predominantly red and yellow, so choose a book with either a red or yellow cover, (posting the image as well), so everyone can see.

Yellow Cover - Island Beneath the Sea by Isabel Allende Island Beneath the Sea / Isabel Allende

3. Spring brings new life - choose a book depicting new life of some description.

The Midwife A Memoir of Birth, Joy, and Hard Times by Jennifer Worth The Midwife: A Memoir of Birth, Joy, and Hard Times / Jennifer Worth

3. Brisbane Writers' Festival is on 4th-8th September - choose a New Release written by an Aussie author.

A Rake's Midnight Kiss (Sons of Sin, #2) by Anna Campbell A Rake's Midnight Kiss / Anna Campbell

5. Romance is in the Spring air.
Romance

The Marriage Bargain (Marriage to a Billionaire, #1) by Jennifer Probst [Marriage Bargain|13486122] / Jennifer Probst

6. The Melbourne Cup will be held on 5th November this year.
Fashion

A Connecticut Fashionista in King Arthur's Court by Marianne Mancusi A Connecticut Fashionista in King Arthur's Court / Marianne Mancusi

7. Choose a Young Adult book for this selection, not necessarily Aussie.

Wildwood Dancing (Wildwood, #1) by Juliet Marillier Wildwood Dancing / Juliet Marillier

8. Choose a book from your favourite GENRE here - make sure you state what that is!

The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman The Ocean at the End of the Lane / Neil Gaiman

9. How about a book with the first letter of the title beginning with the first letter of your name

Neuromancer (Sprawl, #1) by William Gibson Neuromancer / William Gibson

10. Read a fantasy/paranormal/sci-fi book by an Aussie author for this one:)

The Extinction Gambit (The Extraordinaires, #1) by Michael Pryor The Extinction Gambit / Michael Pryor

For those who have enjoyed pushing yourselves, we'll have this again:

11. For September read from your TBR
The Last Days Of The National Costume by Anne Kennedy The Last Days Of The National Costume / Anne Kennedy
12. For October read from your TBR
Cold Comfort Farm by Stella Gibbons Cold Comfort Farm / Stella Gibbons
13. For November read from your TBR

I read it many, many years ago, and my 7 year old grandson is currently having it read to him, a few pages at night. He's enjoying it, but when I read from it one night, I was amazed at some of the words he would have no way of understanding!

I'm reading it Brenda as I have on my bucket list for when I turn 50, to walk the Camino. But having read quite a few chapters in now, I think I may need to reassess my romanticised ideas regarding this pilgrimage!!!!

My brother hasn't read Cold Comfort Farm but absolutely loved the movie/miniseries and still quotes all these years later! So maybe just different tastes..

Burial Rites has been out for a while now in eBook form I think. Dunno if you can really call it a "spring release" when it's just a different format.
