Esther (eshchory) | 1368 comments I finally got round to reviewing The Solace of Trees The Solace of Trees by Robert Madrygin . It was just not as good as I wanted it to be.

The Essex Serpent The Essex Serpent by Sarah Perry was easier to reveiw but didn't thrill me.

Holding Holding by Graham Norton was very enjoyable. A cozy-style mystery with unexpected depth from the host of my favourite talk show.

Katz Nancy from NJ (nancyk18) I have had a serious case of the book blahs and have read anything let alone finish a book. But just before I began reading The Black Widow by Daniel Silva and think it's a go.

Angela M Nancy , hope the book blahs leave you soon ! It's an awful place to be for readers like us . I've been there too. I have many books I own in stacks , on my kindle and many advanced copies to read and review. Sometimes I just can't decide what to read next . Hope you find something good!

Katz Nancy from NJ (nancyk18) Angela- I really live in fear of the book blahs. I am a mood reader so sometimes I have to figure out what my mood is and then choose a book. I never thought I would get into a Kindle but I did and keep downloading new titles before I read new books from last month. And now I've begun downloading favorite books that I want to reread. Not sure what happened to my keeper books but I know some were lost in a basement flood. And I also go to the library several times a week and borrow books.

I sure hope the Daniel Silva book I began pulls me out of my recent book blahs. This book is part of a series which features an art restorer who is really an Israeli spy. This must be the 14th book in the series and I generally really enjoy this s author's books.

Chrissie Mark Twain's The Innocents Abroad was in fact better than I thought it would be.....even if the latter section did give me some trouble.

Alice Poon (alice_poon) Finished Roseblood. It reads like a political thriller. 4 stars.

Chrissie Bartleby the Scrivener by Herman Melville is currently free to all members of Audible.com. You will find it on the Audible channel. I told Marina what a terrible time I had with Melville's Moby-Dick or, The Whale. She recommended this instead. So I had to try it and then found out it was free! It is very short, a novella.

PattyMacDotComma 4.5★ Last Drinks by Aussie Andrew McGahan. Alcohol, politics, alcohol, corruption, alcohol, murder. Mystery based on 20-year reign of an infested Queensland State Government. (Did I mention the alcohol?)

Leslie | 16369 comments I succumbed to the temptation to reread one of my favorite Heyer books (for maybe the 7th time) - Frederica. This is a 5* book for me; the romance & the humor never fail to charm me.
