Which LIST book did you just start?
I've started 4 (!) - Camilla, One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich, Martinus Scribulus, and Metamorphoses.
Local book club member picked To Kill a Mockingbird. So I will begin my 4th or 5th reading. I'm not mad at it. Still a great book.
I also started The Magic Mountain by Thomas Mann.

I started the Reasons to Live and so far I don't like it at all, but will bore me until the bitter end.
The White Tiger by Aravind Adiga. My 3rd Boxall list novel this year set in India- for no particular reason.

Ha! Thanks. I definitely have seen mixed feelings on this book. But so far it's not so bad. First three chapters anyway.

It is absolutely beautiful and the setting of Japanese occupied Korea gives it an added intensity as do the later portions of the movie that are considerably...bolder- in the best of ways- than the book.
Just started Kidnapped. I'm not far in yet but I'm already very much in love with the Scottish setting.
House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski. I've been looking forward to this one, and a few people in one of my other groups are doing an August read-along of it.
Just started Les Mis. Joining the yearly read late but I think I'll finish in time because I'm reading with 2 irl friends as well.
