Vi | 2794 comments Hi Brandilyn,

This month's PIFM is going to be a little hard. You seem to read mostly M/M while I haven't really ventured into that genre. Nothing against it but I'm a little firmly immersed in Fantasy genre. Most of the picks come off your TBR with some outside books thrown in.

1. April Fools Day (April 1)
Tattoos & Teacups - I really liked this cover!
A Nanny for Nate - Heard about this from GR friends. Most of them seemed to really like it!

2. April Showers bring May Flowers
Falling Off the Face of the Earth

3. U.S. Tax Day (April 15)
Naked in Death by J.D. Robb - You could say Roarke is an accountant.. of sorts.
Wacky Wednesday - One of the main guy works in a financial firm

4. Major League Baseball Opening Day
Two of the sports books I found in your TBR
Out in the Field
Heatstroke

5. April’s birthstone: Diamond
Rough Diamond
Hearts of England - With all these new ads for diamonds(actually, platinum & diamonds. Where do they get this idea??) where I live, hearts just remind me of diamonds.

6. Earth Day (April 22):
Willing Victim - Maybe stretching it too far but I couldn't really find a better choice

7. Patriot’s Day
A Reason To Believe - So streching the para part a bit but I've heard good reviews about this one too.

8. Drop Everything and Read (April 12)
Luck in the Shadows - a M/M fantasy
Attachments - one of my favorite sweet feel contemporary romance.

I hope you like the recs. If not, please let me know and I'll repick :)

Happy Reading!

Hi Bre. Thank you for these picks. I think I might start with I've Got Your Number and yes I do like Sophie Kinsella. She's a very easy author to read and her books seem to be quite funny. She's great to read in between more heavy reading.

If I have time I will also pick up A Time to Kill which I just so happen to be reading for another group I'm a member of.

Thanks again for these picks.

Once again, I'm sorry for taking so long, I really hope you like your picks!

1. April Fools Day (April 1) – Recommend a book that is light-hearted and humorous and can be blissful start to the month. Or where a character fools/tricks another.

The Opportunist It's good, after you've read it, you'll know why I recommended it for this category :)

The Truth About Forever I haven't read it, but it looks really good.

3. U.S. Tax Day (April 15) – Recommend a book where money is an issue, where a character owes money or is expecting to receive money (i.e. inheritance). Or recommend a book where a character works as an accountant, or there is plot of embezzlement involved.

Or recommend a book that is fast action-packed. Or since it is also the start of the Boston Marathon, recommend a book where the character is a runner.
Tall, Dark and Daring: The Admiral's Bride\Identity: Unknown When I first read this category I immediately thought of recommending the Tall, Dark and Dangerous series, but since you've read most of those I'll recommend this one. Hope you like it.

A SEAL's Seduction- I couldn't get the link to work, but its from your TBR.

8. Drop Everything and Read (April 12) D.E.A.R is a national month-long celebration of reading designed to remind folks of all ages to make reading a priority activity in their lives – is a free for all. Recommend one of your favorite books that have not been read yet by your pickee.
Ok, so I have several suggestions for this one:
The Reluctant Dom Awesome book!

Summer Sisters I saw that you have it in your To Read shelf. This is one of my favorites and one of the only books I have ever re-read.

Whitney, My Love I don't think this is your type of book but since I have to recommend something different for you I thought I might include it. It is SOOO good. I know it says it's the second in the series, but it's actually stand alone. If you prefer to read the first one first that's great, I think it introduces some of the characters, but if you only want to read one, READ THIS ONE!

Let me know which ones you feel like reading or if you want any re-picks.

1. April Fools Day (April 1) – Lumberjack In Love by Penny Watson loved the nicknames they have for each other...very quick read I did it as a buddy read last month and really enjoyed it. and Checkmate (A Neighbor from Hell, #3) by R.L. Mathewson Not sure what to say about this one but we all have those guys in our lives that just live to annoy us...LOL

April Showers bring May Flowers – Elly in Bloom by Colleen Oakes Elly makes a big change in her life after a heartbraking moment but she pulls herself together and boy do things work out for her and The Welcome Home Garden Club (Twilight, Texas, #4) by Lori Wilde this book could have also been put in for # 7 but since a lot of the story revolves around gardening I put it here...very nice story

5. April’s birthstone: Diamond – The Diamond Girls by Jacqueline Wilson and When You Give a Duke a Diamond (Jewels of the Ton, #1) by Shana Galen I haven't read either of these but they both sounded interesting

6. Earth Day (April 22)(also my birthday...LOL) Montana Dawn by Caroline Fyffe and Texas Twilight by Caroline Fyffe Loved both of these books and they are book 1 & 2 in a series I think you will enjoy them

7. Patriot’s Day - Forged in Fire (Red-Hot SEALs, #1) by Trish McCallan Red Hot SEALS book #1 and its HOT HOT HOT! and Hell on Wheels (Black Knights, Inc., #1) by Julie Ann Walker Behind the facade of their tricked-out motorcycle shop is an elite special ops team assigned the jobs too hot for anyone else to handle!

8. Drop Everything and Read (April 12) - The Look of Love (The Sullivans, #1) by Bella Andre (This is the first book in the Sullivan Series) and Wicked Ties (Wicked Lovers, #1) by Shayla Black This is very Erotic I noticed that you read Bared to you so I thought you may like this series.

Diane ~Firefly~ | 1512 comments Erin,

Thanks for the great picks. I'll definitely be reading Crystal Gardens by Amanda Quick now that it is out in paperback. But you gave me so many other tempting choices that I hope to read at least one more, maybe two. Right now these are the most likely for those slots - Green-Eyed Demon (Sabina Kane, #3) by Jaye Wells The Mane Event (Pride, #1) by Shelly Laurenston Cover of Night by Linda Howard
