I remember seeing a recipe thread somewhere in the past.

a recipe thread is a hreat idea. Even though I don't cook and I don't like eating really I enjoy reading recipes. I really enjoyed the writing of a writer named MFK Fisher (or something like that).
Yeah for a recipe thread!!!! Hope you all have a great weekend!
Also, I hope you all are safe if we have anyone in our group here in Paris.
First time having to pick a sick kid from school. You just know it isn't good when the janitor is waiting by the door of the room so when you get kid he can get on clean up. Trust me on this.
It's been so long since I've posted anything over here ! Well, a lot been going with me lately, I just finished my computer course two days ago and I passed with an A+ :D but not sure when my certificate is going to be approved since its coming all the way from Dubai !
I went to the bookshop as a self-gift for such a great accomplishment and got myself few books from what I've been recommended. To my surprise I found more than 5 books which were on the recommendation list, actually half list, and I picked the most 3 I liked ! Perhaps I'll go for the rest of the list during the book fair which would be held on March .. Can't wait till March is here :D
I had couple of job interviews so I hope my unemployment days would be over soon! Some income would do me good these days ..
Just this morning I had my mirror cube delivered by mail .. Been waiting for it for so long :D I opened it right away and mixed the cube up and solved it in less than 20 minutes LOL .. I couldn't held myself on not solving it :P

I'm crazy about Rubik's cube, but not a speed cube solver ^^"
So glad I'm done with exams, they were consuming most of my time !
Thanks Sandra and Janice. I think we got lucky witg it being the weekend so he can just relax and rest and not wvwn worry about missing school.
I am sitting in a chair at my library, on the second floor, looking east, through the picture windows, watching a rain cloud dump rain over the west hills. I could see the hills a few minutes ago, but they are gone now, under the sheets of rain. The storm is moving north to south and it is lit by the sun, behind the library. There is a park with ponds and walking paths below and the trees are all glowing, dressed up in their fall colors, at least those that still have leaves. I am listening to Temeraire #8.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers for my family, especially for my sister. She's not doing well. I think she's still in shock.@Sandra Yum, recipes! :-) I'll look tomorrow and add some. I'm really tired. Hopefully nothing else will happen for a while.
Sleep well, Anne. Sometimes we get so caught up in looking after those we love, we can forget about ourselves. So please make sure you have a good rest. You can't help your sister if you're exhausted. note this is written by an outsider, but one who has run herself ragged looking after people in the past and can speak on the outside looking in.
Lots of hugs and thoughts still going your way and your family's.
I'm with Rusalka in this, Anne. Rest and try to find someone who could support you too. Then you will be able to better support your sister. Virtual hugs. You and your family are in my prayers.
@Travis, I see you ending being a twitter star!I don't use social media other than GR, really. I set accounts in twitter, tumblr and google+ for my blog, buy the only thing I do is to post the link to the new review.
I couldn't bring myself to open a facebook account, though.
And the winner of the most creative title award is...The Sales Assassin: Master Your Black Belt in Sales
That is a funny title. My wifes boss told her t create a job title for herself. She said she wanted to be supreme master black belt of physical therapy. Never did ask if she got it

Sandra wrote: "Imagine her personal cards! :)"If you ask me it sounds more appropriate for a chiropracter than physical therapist

Hmmm. I suppose could share my own special recipe of stuffed cuttlefish in lightly spicy tomato sauce...
@Milkman_trav. Have not tweeted yet and still strangers I don't know follow me. It appears a gimmick to me. People follow you hoping you will follow them. Like reverse psychology
Ew! There's dog poo in our apartment building, on the ground floor carpet in front of the mailboxes. Yuck, who lets his dog poo inside? And why not clean it up?!?! So glad we move out in 2 months!

Oh no, could be a woman. I was just to lazy to add /her while typing on my phone. And in Dutch 'his' in such contexts is often assumed to sort of cover both sexes.
Ew! We get people around our apartment that don't pick up after their dogs even though their are poo bag stations :( sometimes people are in a hurry...or just lazy ;)
It happens outside a lot too, and we have those stations too. There's poo right next to those stations even. I hate it, especially now that it's dark when I walk back from the train station. I always have to think 'there was poo somewhere in this area this morning' and then walk very carefully. I tend to walk on the road when it's dark, just to be safe (from the poo, not so safe with regard to cars ;-))
Do you have sidewalk??? I just thought about that, I don't think it is everywhere, or maybe isn't called sidewalk everywhere, LOL!
A town called Barking and Dagenham in the U.K. uses DNA to track down owners who leave dog poo around! Ironic nsme for the town. I saw that in the news last spring; I think Tel Aviv does too.
