I Just Finished Reading (or I'm Reading Next!)
I just finished reading The Beginning of Everything by Robyn Schneider, and I am about 30% of the way through Guy Gavriel's Kay's The Last Light of the Sun!
I just finished the last Sookie Stackhouse book, even though I'd heard it wasn't very good. It wasn't great, but not as bad as I had anticipated.
I liked the final Sookie story okay too.Just don't bother to pick up that final "book" that is a wrap up/epilogue for the characters. It's nothing but 1 page or sometimes 1 paragraph for each named character in the entire series. Such a cash grab bit of junk.

Thanks for the warning! I did have my suspicions about that. She wrapped everything up so neatly I really don't see the point.
Just finished a re-read (via audiobooks) of Ty & Zane books 1-5 (Cut & Run m/m series), then a brief interlude of Jagged (Colorado Mountain series book #5- I think- by Kristen Ashley) and now I'm picking back up Ty & Zane for books 6, 7, and 8.
I just finished Heaven's Queen. There are three books in the series and this is the last one. I had to binge read the last two books because I loved them so much. Now I'm looking for something new to read.
@Dennise YES!!! I love Rachel Bach's Paradox series so much! We totally need to read it for VF in my opinion! I have read them all a couple of times now. The first two are audio books as well, and I've really enjoyed re entering that world while I'm going about my daily errands and whatnot. The narrator is great.

I would love to read it again for VF. Hopefully it comes up soon because I'd love to know what the ladies think of it.
I love Rachel Bach's Paradox series so much! We totally need to read it for VF in my opinion! Yes, yes, YES! I adore Devi and this entire series. :)
Finished The Golem and the Jinni after reading Felicia's review for it. (So. Good.) Now I'm onto the audiobook of Life After Life by Kate Atkinson.
Everyone sharing my love of Devi and Rachel Bach really makes me wish goodreads had a "like" button.
I just finished reading Burn For Me by Ilona Andrews and absolutely adored it!! So, so good. They are awesome about building up sexual tension and this book has it in spades. I'm about to start re-reading Nalini Singh's Archangel series so I'm prepped for the most recent release.
I just got hooked on Outlander!! Burned through them in a heartbeat. I'm in the middle of Three Cheers for Boner!, which I stumbled on by mistake and thought was just a joke at first. Actually, it's pretty refreshing stuff. Has a very surprisingly non-traditional female lead that comes in about 1/3 of the way through. A bit blue sometimes, but very fun.
Just finished reading a pretty good dark animal fantasy called the beasts of new york by jon evans, am now reading jo's boys by louisa may alcott, and next will be the name of the wind by patrick rothfuss.
Just finished three rings by SK Munt (loved it) second book in the series -Now reading magic bites before returning to the series
Reading Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance for the third time. I read this book every decade or so, and every time I read it I get something different out of it: travel, philosophy, father/son relationship, academic politics, etc... After this book I plan to read this month's main pick. I read the first short story online and liked the surprise (to me) ending :)
Anyone read Off Your Rocker? The Rock God Series by KE Osborn yet? I absolutely loved it .. awesome story.
I just finished Sorcery & Cecelia: or The Enchanted Chocolate Pot and I really liked it once I got used to the style - it's epistolary. Very fun and light, magical Jane Austen type story.I just grabbed Rise of the Spider Goddess: An Annotated Novel by Jim C. Hines and it's pretty funny stuff - I recommend it to all writers.
I recently finished Phedre's trilogy by Jacqueline Carey: Kushiel's Dart, Kushiel's Chosen, and Kushiel's Avatar. Now I'm reading Daughter of the Blood.
I just finished the Island of Dr. Moreau by H.G. Wells so check out my review here!https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Still enjoying The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss and Nightmares by Jason Segel.
Just finished reading Penmort Castle by Kristen Ashley and now I'm going to read the promise by Kristen Ashley.
I read Hunter's Heart by J.D. Tyler last night. It's book four in the Alpha Pack series. I like the characters and the story lines, but I do occasionally roll my eyes at some of the sex talk. I still need to pick up books five, six, and seven. I'm waiting for book 7.5 which is supposed to be a male/male centric romance. It's not something I've really come across before in the paranormal romance genre.
Reading Kushiel s Dart Taking awhile to get into and I'm only at 20% on my kindle and feel like I've been reading forever
Just finished A Soldier's Duty by Jean Johnson last night and am working on the sequel. I really enjoyed the female protagonist in conjunction with the space opera/military themes.
I just finished Dark Flame by Alyson Noel a few days ago. It's the fourth book in her Immortals series.I'm in the middle of Succubus Heat by Richelle Mead and almost finished A Feast for Crows by George R.R. Martin. After that it's a huge backlog of books that have been recommended to me or series I need to finish.
I am reading one of the VF books for next month, Fortune's Pawn. It is a fun SciFi novel with a Firefly/mecha feel to it.
Just finished the third in the Arcana Series Dead of Winter by Kresley Cole.Trying to read a classic a month so I'm now reading Little Women by Louisa May Alcott.
trying something a little differen and reading The Secret History of Moscow by Ekaterina Sedia. I've been trying to get into this for a year now, and am just now giving it the attention it deserves rather than picking it up reading 10 pages and setting it down again.
Just finished The Shadow Reader by Sandy Williams a bit formulaic, but very well written. No schmexy times, but some good kissing scenes, but this is appropriate since there was never a good time for the schmex in the story. I am starting the 2nd book in the series ASAP.
I'm reading Metro 2033, which I'm reading slowly because it's giving me nightmares (I usually read before sleeping). Until now it's a well written post-apocalyptic science fiction novel.
After this book I have no idea of what to read. I think I would like any historical novel or something like Jane Eyre.
Just finished reading the The Shadow Reader trilogy in under 4 days. It is really quite good, highly recommend if you like UF.
If you're in the mood for some good epic space fantasy with a great female lead and awesome world building I love the Kris Longknife character from the author Mike Shepherd. Very good read!I just finished The Martian by Andy Weir, no romance, but great read. May re-read Ready Player One as I wait for the newest Esther Diamond book called Abracadaver by Laura Resnick to come in at the library - she's always a fast and fun read.
I'm almost finished with My Sister's Grave (The Tracy Crosswhite Series - Book 1) by Robert Dugoni. I'm loving it. It has a little romantic interest in it, but the murder mystery of her sister is roping me in.
Ohh, you guys are reading The Mirror of Her Dreams? Sweet, I read that years ago and enjoyed it :D I can't wait to watch the hang out for that :D
I just started Prudence by Gail Carriger. We read Carriger's book Soulless for this book club. The world continues with the next generation.
Marjorie wrote: "I just started Prudence by Gail Carriger. We read Carriger's book Soulless for this book club. The world continues with the next generation."I have loved every book from Ms. Carriger. I hope the digital library gets Prudence in soon.
I just read my way through the first four books of the Mercy Thompson series. I've just started book five, once book six comes in I'll be able to finish the series.
Becca wrote: "I just read my way through the first four books of the Mercy Thompson series. I'm interested to hear what you think.

I'm looking forward to it. I read a few reviews and it looks different, but promising.

Just finished reading Honor's Knight by Rachel Bach. I loved it! Now I'm reading Hardwired by Meredith Wild. It's really good so far. I just got the 2nd book to read after it.
finished Hardwired and I loved it so much I got the 2nd book right away. Hardpressed is the next book in the series which I'm going to start right away.
This month I finished Mark of the Demon by Diana Rowland, Heaven by V.C. Andrews and Sire by Thomas Galvin.Right now I've started Half-Blood by Jennifer L. Armentrout and have plans to read Alone by Robert J. Crane (recommended by a friend).

Thank you! I went through my whole "To read" list and not only were none of the books I wanted to read on it, aside from Seanan McGuire, the only authors I wanted to read were only there in anthologies or magazines!
