All countries have their beautiful places...and their ugly ones, too.

Hello everybody! My name is Abhik Chatterjee. I
-work with a soccer team
-have graduated as an engineer
-have written enough non-published and published short snippets to fill the first folder of the first drawer under my cupboard...
I love thrillers and I have read quite a few of them in my short life-span, so I am eager to participate in discussions.
I happened to discover this group today and I must say that I am kicked about interacting with all you good folks.
And one more thing : I am mortally scared of eating tomatoes.
That'll be all.
Welcome, Abhik.Of all the things that describe you, I could only latch onto one sentence: you're mortally scared of eating tomatoes? What happened?
I'm with Groovy, I want to know the scoop. Was it something along the lines of the classic movie 'Attack of the Killer Tomatoes '. It's real, you can look it up.

@Groovy @Robert The fear probably developed when my cousin squished one in front of me when I was five while pretending that it was the head of one of my action figures. That squishy feeling has given me shivers ever since :)
Hi all!My name is Jack. I'm an author from South Wales, UK, about to release my debut novel! It is called 'Winter Smith: London's Burning.' It is an action packed and thrilling zombie apocalypse novel set in London.
I live with my boyfriend and my parents, and my cat! I've been writing since I was a kid, but the Winter Smith series came to me at 17, so I started writing seriously from that age. Now, at 21, Winter Smith is about to meet the world!

Hi, I'm Susan. This is my first post in a GR group. I've been using GR to keep track of my own reading for years and for "what to read next" ideas...the discussions are all great, so I thought I'd become more of an active participant! I read like crazy, all genres, but I have a particular fondness for a good thriller/mystery/procedural. I'm always on the hunt for the next recommendation! This group has just a great list of books and discussions, I figured I was in the right place.
I'm married with three sons, work at a market research firm as head of sales and marketing. I love podcasts (my new obsession in the last year) and I'm trying to get into Audible. Having a hard time listening to a book (except "The Goldfinch" for some reason. Odd.) I think I just need to find a couple that work and I'll be hooked (suggestions are welcome!)
I also like to cook (experiment with new recipes), try to get to a yoga class daily, and garden - poorly:( but I enjoy it when the weather cooperates as we live south of Boston, Massachusetts. We have a fairly short growing season.
Some of my favorite authors in this overall genre (not in any order) are:
Vince Flynn, Lee Child, Harlan Coben, Tana French, Stephen King, Joe Hill, David Baldacci, Agatha Christie, Gillian Flynn.
When I find an author, I tend to read everything they've written in order if possible. Looking forward to reading some great books here.

Hi Susan. A Fellow Jack Reacher and Stephen King fan. I've read amazing books through this group that I wouldn't have known about without it.
Hi everyone, I'm Chris from Maine. I love all kinds of books but my favorites are Michael Crichton's "techno-thrillers". Hope to discover more awesome books and meet more awesome people!
I just joined today, and I just started reading VOID. I don't know much about amnesia , but I'm looking forward to a good discussion, where I'm sure that I'll learn a lot, especially with the author David S. participating in our discussions. Hope to finish by the weekend and anxious to read your posts, thoughts, insights, observations re. VOID ! :)
Hi to everyone new.You can probably find out more about me by simply listening to any of my YouTube playlists than by listening to me talk about myself. Here's what's currently playing on Playlist #3: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDsAd...
Welcome Susan. We share a liking for many of the same authors. I suggest adding Adam Mitzner who has written 3 legal/procedural novels that I really enjoyed.
Hi everyone, I've recently had some very kind invitations to join this group, thank you to those members! I love reading thrillers but also read a lot of other stuff and have certainly broadened my horizons since joining GR. When I don't have time to sit down to read, I'm listening to an audiobook. I'm totally addicted to them. Looking forward to becoming involved in the group and catching up with old friends and 'meeting' new ones :)
This sounds like a very active group with many members participating in discussions. That's exciting and something to which I look forward !!Thanks for all the kind "welcomes" :)
hello,I'm an author and a great reader too.
I'm currently reading
by Tom Rob Smith. One of his other books, Agent 6, is one of my favourites of recent years. I read widely and like several genres.
I'm looking forward to finding new and fresh book suggestions and searching out titles of quality!
Look forward to meeting other members.

thanks Travis and Rebecca - I'm looking forward to some interesting group reads, maybe see you there...
Hi, Ann. I believe you can learn more about someone by listening to their YouTube playlists than by talking to them. That said, here's my current video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=arwTv...
