DHASG 2013 Yearly Series Strikethrough Challenge

Foreword: Don’t you get tired of that ever-growing pile of series books that are taunting you from your “To Be Read” pile? This challenge might be for you if the answer is yes.

Goal: Select as many as seven series and make it a goal to start, continue, or finish them. You can assign any of these seven series in the categories you choose: Starter, Continuing, Finishing.

Instructions:
1. Select each series and assign it to a category (you can only use the series in one category).

a. Starter Series: You must read at least one and no more than three books in this series. The series must be longer than 2-3 books. If you are finishing this series, it goes into the ‘finishing’ category. See below.

b. Continuing Series: You must read further into a series you have already begun and complete at least two books in that series. If you are finishing it out, it goes into the finishing category. There is no size limit on the continuing series category.

c. Finishing Series: You plan to finish out this series this year. It can be a new series or one you started and need to finish. The series must be at least three books. You can count a series that you only need to finish as few as one book, but to make things more challenging, why not list a longer series?

2. All books must be read beginning January 1, 2013 (as early as 12:00 am) and by 11:59 pm on December 31, 2013. Post on this thread to let the challenge coordinator know you are participating. Update your stats with a new post on a regular basis. When you are finished, post your completed stats and notify the coordinator that you are done.

3. The books can be in any fiction category. They do not have to be dangerous hero-related.

4.Your stats will look something like this (with embellishments of your choosing):

Don't worry if you end up changing series and orders. Just move your books series around in your stats if you end up finishing a book series you intended to start or continue.

The only caveat is that you can only pick seven series the first round.

If the series is not concluded, even if there are unreleased books, you'd want to count that is a continuing series, Megan.

Ok, TY! I was thinking that but I wasn't sure. I am very glad I found this one too! I had already read 1 book this year that fit in this challenge. This is kinda the challenge I tell myself to do all the time. Maybe if its a challenge I will do it and not skip over these books for new series, lol. Or maybe still read other series but squeeze these in too...yeah, that sounds better.
