It's kind of like chili cheese fries! Just, instead of chili you have beef gravy and it NEEDS to be cheese curds :P I moved out of Quebec a few years ago (just barely, I'm about 45 minutes from my home town) and I can't find good, authentic poutine anywhere. I've found a few decent places, but nowhere like what I grew up eating. It's disappointing!

It's a Canadian thing, but more common in Quebec. My understanding from my cousins who now live in BC is that it's not really the same out there, haha. You can probably find it in the States though, but I can't say how authentic/delicious it'll be lol.
