Thanks for the picks Sandy, there are so many I want to read! I'm definitely gonna go with The Lady is a Vamp (Argeneau, #17) by Lynsay Sands and will have to see what else I can fit in. I'm on the waiting list for The Casual Vacancy and Shadow of Night at my library, so maybe those will come in finally this month.

We had lots of books in common, so I had fun looking through your shelves. I hope you find something intriguing to read.

1. Release Date
TBR - Iced by Karen Marie Moning (pub 10/29/12). You seemed to love the fever series, so it must be time to start something new by her.
New - The Corset Diaries by Katie MacAlister (pub 5/4/04), yeah it's also on your TBR, but it doesn't look like you've read her before. This is a fun story with the characters being on a reality TV show set in historical times.

Iced (Dani O'Malley, #1) by Karen Marie Moning The Corset Diaries by Katie MacAlister

2. Book Length
TBR - Divine By Mistake by P.C. Cast (698 pgs). Interesting idea for a story and I love anything to do with Greek mythology.
New - Sweet Inspiration by Penny Watson (164 pgs) is a different Christmas story. Santa has 5 hunky sons. This is about the eldest who is also a baker. Yum.

Divine By Mistake (Partholon, #1) by P.C. Cast Sweet Inspiration (Klaus Brothers, #1) by Penny Watson

3. Author
TBR - Kiss of the Night by Sherrilyn Kenyon. Wulf is one of my favorite Dark Hunters, of course all of the first 6 guys rank in my favorites. Plus, once you finish this, Vane and Bride's book is next.
New - Dragon Bound by Thea Harrison. Great book, one of my few 5 stars. Lots of hype, but it lives up to it. Plus, a neat mystery that I didn't figure out until the reveal and then went Doh!

Kiss of the Night (Dark-Hunter, #5) by Sherrilyn Kenyon Dragon Bound (Elder Races, #1) by Thea Harrison

4. Cover
TBR - One and Only by Bianca D'Arc (Hot, if you couldn't guess). Hot cover and interesting blurb, I even added it to my Amazon wishlist.
New - Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie (cool). I'm surprised you haven't read her, she is one of my favorite authors who always delivers a good read with some kooky characters. This is one of my favorite books and I re-read it at least once a year.

One and Only (Brotherhood of Blood, #1) by Bianca D'Arc Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie

Tiffanny TY
Here are your picks. You have a huge list of books that you've already read. I've tried to add a few authors that you don't have on your list or books by an author that you had on your to-read list. I hope that you find something that you'll enjoy, but if none of these books really strike your fancy just let me know =)

1. The Darkest Hour or Eternal Rider

2. Giving Chase ( I love the Chase Brothers series and the Brown Siblings series by Lauren Dane!!) or Kiss of Steel

3. Broken or Blaze of Memory ( I really enjoy Broken and have reread it several times because of the main characters. I saw that you really liked the Guild Hunter Series...as did I =) I struggled through the middle of the psy-changling series and actually skipped 3 books to read about Sienna and Hawke...which was good....anyways, I thought you might want to continue on in the series)

4. When You Dare or Causing Havoc ---> Both of these books are by Lori Foster. I choose them for HOT because the first cover makes you sweat, and the second is about MMA fighting with lots of sweating. Both good books =) AND The Art of Seducing a Naked Werewolf This book is funny and also takes place in Alaska ---> COOL

Happy Reading!

The Art of Seducing a Naked Werewolf (Naked Werewolf, #2) by Molly Harper When You Dare (Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor, #1) by Lori Foster Causing Havoc (SBC Fighters, #1) by Lori Foster Broken (Rafferty, #2) by Shiloh Walker Blaze of Memory (Psy-Changeling, #7) by Nalini Singh Kiss of Steel (London Steampunk, #1) by Bec McMaster Giving Chase (Chase Brothers, #1) by Lauren Dane Eternal Rider (Lords of Deliverance, #1) by Larissa Ione The Darkest Hour (KGI, #1) by Maya Banks

Colette, it looks like you are the second person this month to pick from the wrong list! The list in message #2 is just the initial sign-up list - the pairings for actually making picks are in message #4. You were supposed to pick for Brett. Can you do a set of recommendations for Brett, or would you rather someone else do it?

message 230: by Nancy H (new)

Nancy H | 1111 comments Hi Pollyanna,
Karen suggested I add some more titles to give you a few more choices, so here are some additional ones, some from your TBR, and some that I have read and liked that were a bit spicier than the first ones I listed.

Pollyanna,
Here are the picks for you. You have lots and lots of good books on your lists, so if you don't see anything here you like, please let me know and I will give you more picks.

1. Release Date - Within the last 6 months: Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry;
At least 2 years ago: The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain. The first one looks interesting, and I chose the second one because you seem to like classics.
A few more from at least two years ago: She Went All the Way by Meg Cabot; Julia's Chocolates by Cathy Lamb

2. Book Length - A short book (under 200 pages): Girl, Interrupted by Susanna Kaysen; A long book (over 400 pages): Clan of the Cave Bear by Jean Auel. Both of these seem like they might appeal to you based on books you have already read.
Another short one from your TBR: Pride and Promiscuity: The Lost Sex Scenes of Jane Austen
Another longer one with a passionate romance: Wuthering Heights

3. Author - Choose a book by an author that your pickee loves: Bad Boys Do by Victoria Dahl; One that they have never read before: The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh. I saw that you liked the first Dahl one in that series. I recently read the second pick here and really liked it.

4. Cover - Select a book with a HOT cover: Fever, 1793 by Laurie Halse Anderson
One with a COOL cover: Hot Ice by Nora Roberts. The first one is a good historical fiction one and the second one has both hot and cold on the cover!
More Hot/Cool Covers: And One Last Thing by Molly Harper; Can't Stand the Heat (Recipe for Love #1) by Louisa Edwards; French Quarter (Hot in the City #1) by Lacey Alexander

If you need more titles, PLEASE let me know and I will be happy to add even more.

Sassafrass (sass-a-frass) | 4192 comments Oooh MountainKat, you are getting me into so much trouble. Ok, here's what I'm attempting to get done this month.

Gone Country (Rough Riders, #14) by Lorelei James --I've got this on preorder too, so we can surely BR this!

also, I LOVE Eve Langlais. She's got such snarky heroines and her books are hot, so I'll pick up Holiday Kink by Eve Langlais as well if you'd like to BR this too.

Now for the others I'ld like to get to Reflected in You (Crossfire, #2) by Sylvia Day because I've been meaning to get to that and On Dublin Street by Samantha Young .

And since you recommended it, I'll pick up Shaken by Dee Tenorio

Then, if I get time, I'll try to get to Jacked Up (Fast Track, #6) by Erin McCarthy , Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor (Friday Harbor, #1) by Lisa Kleypas and About That Night (FBI / US Attorney, #3) by Julie James .

So as you can see, your picks are at absolute hit! LOL, I'll be busy next month for sure. Thanks again!
