Melissa So this book made me giggle and think of all you crafty readers...

Knit Your Own Boyfriend by Carol Meldrum Knit Your Own Boyfriend

Melissa And Sarah - those cards are beautiful! (Finally got a chance to log on so that I could see the pictures!)

message 303: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 298 comments The colors are beautiful, Melissa!!
I always give myself the hardest time when I have to pick out colors for a project. I don't know why. I taught myself how to crochet/knit (thank you youtube!) a couple years ago and went hog crazy for a year straight. Then burned myself out :(
I have a couple totes full of yarn and a scarf that is 3/4 of the way done...then I found this book club and unless I start liking audio books, it's either needlework or reading. ;)

I still don't get how you guys can read & have a crafting hobby...I get home from work and most times I am ready to crash by 8:30!

Janice (jamasc) | 59851 comments For some reason, the picture didn't open, so I went to your profile. Cute socks, and cute daughter! I love her smile.

message 327: by jaxnsmom (new)

jaxnsmom | 8341 comments Peggy - your monkey is adorable! Are you making more? They'd make great gifts for little ones (and adults too)!

Suzanne - the socks are so pretty, and look so comfortable!

message 328: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne | 1254 comments Thanks ladies!

message 329: by Peggy (new)

Peggy (pebbles84) | 15868 comments I can't see the socks Suzanne, maybe tomorrow when I'm not on my phone. I'm curious!

@Jmom: when I'm not reading I'm crocheting, but I don't like making the same thing twice. No more of this monkey in the near future (the sewing part on the face was also very challenging, I rather just crochet).

message 330: by Tasha (new)

Tasha very nice socks, Suzanne!

message 331: by Roz (new)

Roz | 4524 comments Ooo, Suzanne, those are great socks. I know how to knit but never tried socks until recently. So far I've figured out my gauge and how many stitches I need to cast on. Now I'm on to deciding to use 3 or 4 needles.

message 332: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne | 1254 comments Thanks, Roz! Taking a sock-making class was very rewarding for me.

message 333: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 18549 comments Those socks are amazing! I want some ;-)

message 334: by Esther (new)

Esther (nyctale) | 5190 comments I just also started my first socks. Yoga socks, ones without hell and toes.

Nice change as my latest project were neck warmers/hat sets.

message 335: by Tasha (new)

Tasha Did you finish your yoga socks, Esther? I love yoga and have always wanted to make a pair...

message 336: by Roz (new)

Roz | 4524 comments I found a class on craftsy.com titled "My First Socks". I'm going through it now.

No it takes me forever as 1) I do not spend too much time knitting. 2) I always have 2 projects going. One for both places in my house I usually knit.

Which reminds me... Finally got around joining Ravelry. I am under nyctale, as always.

I started a couple of knitting projects (I'm a complete newbie) and haven't finished any of them...
