Nice, I especially like the cushion.

I started crocheting. My aim was to make amigurumi animals, I bought a box for beginners to do it, but they assume at least basic knowledge of stitches and I had no clue how to even start a stitch. So I watched some youtube videos and practiced stitches on the couch for a couple of evenings. Took out another colour of wool, got extremely frustrated (turns out the wool was not very suitable for crocheting), quit for a few weeks, and then I bought a box containing everything to make a little owl.
And here it is:

It has one larger wing and one larger ear and well, some more issues. But I made it by just doing it and not doing things 10 times over when I wasn't completely satisfied, just to see what I could create. And for someone who has two left hands and never made something creative in her life, I don't even think it's too bad ;-)

Sarah, I think I'll try a pumpkin next. I want to make it for a friend who's from Canada and misses the real Halloween terribly every year. It's quite small so I hope I can finish in time :) And after that a cute little mushroom and a cute little snowman.

Here (in the Netherlands) I think 80% of people don't even know when Halloween is. You can find some Halloween-candy in some supermarkets if you go look for it, and there might be some Halloween-themed party organized somewhere, but it's nothing compared to North America.

I now need my sister to measure her youngest daughters head so I can knit her a mouse hat. I have been waiting months for this one itty bit of info, so for now I am knitting a Flopsy the Bunny soft toy instead.

I'm so impressed Peggy. I've never got the hang of crocheting. I cant get it to work at all. Everyone, especially my Mum, tells me it's the easiest thing in the world, but i can't do it. I shalt complain too much really, as thanks to tailor/needlework artist Mum I've learnt many other skills. But it's so frustrating!!

I can not believe you are a beginner! Those are adorable.

Here is my Red Eyed Tree Frog in glass pieces and grout.

I'll make sure Debra shows you her awesome artwork as well.

Wow.

The Blue Heron and the Red-Winged Blackbird play significant roles in Debra's and Jeff's lives. Maybe she can elaborate later...or not!

You and Cherie may remember months ago when I was testing out photographs for an art project. You caught it seconds before I deleted it. This is the result of that experiment.
You weren't suppose to see this!

I'm very happy with the results and think both Almeta's and mine turned out better than we thought. We suck at acrylic painting, but aren't bad at putting together mosaic puzzles! Our teacher was pleased. That was awesome!

Janice, I really like the way you used the background fabric into the border. It makes the secondary design in the center really pop! BTW, I have a UFO from the very first quilting class I ever took, some 25 years ago. I chose the quilt as you go method, and while all of the sampler blocks are quilted, hand-sewing all of them together has not been on the top of my list!
