Holly why sore? Sorry to hear of your discomfort! :(

message 4052: by Holly (new)

Holly | 1184 comments I walked to the library yesterday, plus from carrying my daughter (she's really starting to get heavy), and putting her in the car and getting her out. Thanks for your concern Janie. :-)

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments 4:57 p.m. EST I crashed out around 2 a.m. after not having a nap last evening, and slept until 3:30. Dmitry had to go to work at 11 but must have fallen back asleep after his alarm went off because I had a call from the store about 5 minutes after he left and if I figured out the time correctly it was about noon. (My clock is broken, I can't change the time, and it's currently about 3 hours and 45 minutes ahead of the actual time; it's a bit hard to figure that when I'm half-asleep...) That's all rather unfortunate, because the few times I woke half up and looked around it was sunny out, but by the time I finally woke up completely it was cloudy... *sigh* I finally drug myself awake because I needed to put the dog out.

So now I'm clearing e-mail and trying to decide whether to go back to sleep for awhile or stay up. I haven't decided for sure. I feel really tired today, so I'll probably sleep for a few more hours. If I don't listen to my body, I always regret it!

7:46PM and I'm relaxing at home. Enjoying my day off and hope to get some reading in. I have dishes, and laundry to do tonight, but I'm looking forward to it. Hope all are doing well.

8:27PM had a great work out, watched the Voice, enjoying some coffee right now, listening to the neighborhood birds, I love it. I think that is one of my favorite things to hear. Such an amazing evening, it makes me wish I lived on the beach. Anyway wanna conquer the Talisman tonight or at least most of it. I am so looking forward to my upcoming reads.

Kathryn I love breakfast for dinner. And Chris now you make me want pancakes! Chris glad you are enjoying your day off.

Ok Michelle, how bout we start it next week? I am looking forward to it myself. Pick a day!

message 4067: by [deleted user] (new)

It is extremely rare that I get the chance Michelle. Tonight was unusually slow for a change.

Shell (shellcampbell) | 757 comments How about Monday?!

message 4069: by Shell (new)

Shell (shellcampbell) | 757 comments Glad you got the chance Cindy, especially while you're reading The Talisman - that book is so hard to put down :)

message 4070: by [deleted user] (new)

I want so badly to read NOS4A2 with you guys, but I am so slow. Always have so much going on in my life that I can't find a lot of time to actually sit and focus solely on reading :(

message 4071: by Janie, Group Owner & Book Addict (new)

Janie Johnson | 6303 comments Mod
Well when can you start it Cindy?

message 4072: by [deleted user] (new)

I could start it at the same time Janie, but you guys read at a much faster pace than I do. One of these days I'll gain a little speed. Right now, I'm just the tortoise.

No worries Cindy I will have probably 2 other books going because of buddy reads I have. I say start when we do. And I won't give anything away.

message 4074: by Shell (new)

Shell (shellcampbell) | 757 comments It'd be great if you could join us Cindy - I'll probably have some other books on the go too and I've got heaps going on with family etc at the moment so it could take me awhile to finish it as well :)

message 4075: by [deleted user] (new)

:) I will purchase the ebook on Amazon. Thanks for letting me join in. I have been wanting to read this one. Adam is so lucky! He won a copy on GR's. I'm jealous.

message 4076: by Shell (new)

Shell (shellcampbell) | 757 comments I know, I saw that - lucky thing! I'm so glad you can join us Cindy - the more the merrier :D

YAY! Cindy so glad you decided to join in! That makes me very happy. But now my friends my eyelids are saying please close for the night. So I must depart ways with you both. LOL I can be so poetic sometimes, Night y'all talk again soon!

message 4078: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm not far behind you Janie. Can't believe I just paid $13 for an ebook, but I REALLY want to read this one. Goodnight Janie.

message 4079: by Shell (new)

Shell (shellcampbell) | 757 comments Goodnight Janie! Sleep well :)

I hear ya Cindy, I hate paying that much for an ebook when you can get an actual book for a similar price, but sometimes its worth it when you just can't wait hey?! :)

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments 4:01 a.m. EST We went to Waffle House to eat. Love their food! Cheap and angry, as my husband says - inexpensive and filling. Just clearing out e-mail and off to check for freebies on my Amazon wishlist.

8:03AM Had my coffee, hopefully go out to the UBS. Hehe I love that place. I always look forward to a trip there. A few books I would like to pick up.

Yay Cindy! I do feel your pain for having to spend that much, but I am pretty sure it will be worth it when you get read it. I gotta say though I spent $30 on my copy, well Hubby did for my birthday. I am stoked you guys! Looking forward to this.

message 4082: by [deleted user] (new)

10:33 a.m. and I'm making an attempt to start reading a bit earlier today. Want to push on with The Talisman in hopes that I will be finished or nearly finished with it by Monday. Took dog out, made coffee, and have book in hand. What more need be said? Have a great day everyone!

Coffee - the miracle drug! LOL

message 4086: by [deleted user] (new)

1:38 p.m. and gotta get ready for work now. Optimistic about reading at work today. Fingers crossed for no drama.

message 4087: by GeneralTHC (new)

GeneralTHC 12:41 PM And I'm wondering what I'm going to read after I finish The Orchardist by Amanda Coplin later today--that's just terrible, ain't it? I have 250 pages left and I'm worried about what I'm going to read later...

message 4088: by Holly (new)

Holly | 1184 comments I do that all the time Chuck!

message 4089: by Katy (new)

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments Hope you have a good day at work, Cindy.

2:08 p.m. EST Didn't even try to go to sleep until 9 a.m. and didn't sleep well, but I crawled out of bed around 1 p.m. to go sit outside for awhile. There are some clouds, which is actually good because it's like suddenly summer arrived and it's hot. however, it's almost my favorite time of the year: firefly season! I loving sitting on the back porch in the evening and watching the fireflies start to wake up in the gloaming.

message 4090: by Holly (new)

Holly | 1184 comments Sorry to hear that you didn't sleep well Katy. :-\

message 4091: by Katy (new)

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments I'm going to go back to sleep for awhile once I sent D off to work. I'm really dizzy, which is always a bad sign (I have benign positional vertigo and sometimes it becomes so bad I can hardly walk).

message 4092: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 5:00 PM. Just reading until my love comes home. Going to be a late night for him, so hopefully I can keep concentrating on reading.

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments 11:23 p.m. EST Okay, so, last week one of my husband's coworkers was being hassled because of something the manager asked her to do, so she was on the phone with him several times about it. Today someone ran into her car in the parking lot and ripped off its back end. Bad luck or what?? I think I'm going to send her a spell to break a curse, 'cause it sounds like one to me... O.o

Anyway, I had a nice nap, feeling a bit better. Clearing out e-mail and then time to read!

10:46PM Well I had a fairly busy day today, I got few new books and got some family time in. Been talking to my sisters on FB. LOL That was a hoot! Gonna read some Ellen Hopkins tonight.

message 4096: by [deleted user] (new)

12:19 a.m. and I'm gonna read for an hour or so. Have to get up early because I'm going with my daughter to get our eyes examined (I need glasses BAD). Then we are going to eat lunch together. It has been a while and since she is pregnant, it may be quite a while before we can do it again.

Katy - I had a decent day at work. Thank you for the kind words. Glad you are feeling a bit better.

Cindy that will be fun for you!

message 4098: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes it will Janie. And, I really think getting glasses is going to help my reading adventures in a big way. I haven't gotten new glasses in about four years. Get frequent headaches when I read, vision blurs, etc.

message 4099: by Janie, Group Owner & Book Addict (new)

Janie Johnson | 6303 comments Mod
Oh yes that should help a lot!

message 4100: by Katy (new)

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments Yes, glasses are great! I usually read without mine, but there are days I really need them now. I love glasses; if I could, I'd have dozens of them. I used to, back when I was an optician and could buy them cheaply! LOL

12:50 a.m. EST Been piddling around on-line. Almost done with my e-mail and I can go back to reading!
