Breann | 398 comments Hi MountainKat! It was fun looking through your shelves. Here are your picks!

Spring
1. Spring Cleaning: Lady Isabella's Scandalous Marriage You had it on your why-haven’t-i-read this shelf and I don’t know, why haven’t you read this? :) This is such a great series! One of my favorites.
2. Season of Rebirth: Tender Mercies This one was hard because we pretty much read the same genres. Which is as long as it has romance! So I picked something totally different than what I saw on your shelves. This book is intense. Be warned there are some non-con scenes and a heavy master/slave relationship. I love Kitty Thomas and I think this book is genius.

Summer
3. Summer flings: Magic Bites Very fun series! Kate Daniels is one kickass heroine who is super snarky. Can't go wrong.
4. Beach Reads: First Grave on the Right This series is just plain hilarious. I lol the whole time I read them.

Autumn
5. Sports Season: The Locker Room I know you know not to judge a book by its cover, but really don't. This is a such a sweet romance. I really enjoyed it.
6. TV Seasons: Unholy Ghosts My.favorite.series.ever.

Winter
7. Cozy Winter: Unveiled Courtney Milan can do no wrong.
8. Pass It On : Fatal Shadows (Adrien English Mystery, #1) This book was recommended to me from another PIFM and I'm so glad it was!

Lady Isabella's Scandalous Marriage (Highland Pleasures, #2) by Jennifer Ashley Tender Mercies by Kitty Thomas Magic Bites (Kate Daniels, #1) by Ilona Andrews First Grave on the Right (Charley Davidson, #1) by Darynda Jones The Locker Room by Amy Lane Unholy Ghosts (Downside Ghosts, #1) by Stacia Kane Unveiled (Turner, #1) by Courtney Milan Fatal Shadows (Adrien English Mystery, #1) by Josh Lanyon

Hope you can find something you will enjoy! :)

Breann | 398 comments Hi Katie! *waves* I will definitely read Divide & Conquer. Like you said, can't go wrong with Ty & Zane. Also, it's one of my GB picks :) I might also read Everything Under the Sun. Thanks Katie!!

Thanks for the great picks--I think that I'll try Flat Out Sexy, it would be a nice change from what I've been reading. I just downloaded it from my library--since it was available, I'll assume that it was the one! Thanks.

message 205: by Renee (new)

Renee Nicole | 175 comments Okay, ANDREW! Hope you can find a few on here that you'll enjoy! I hadn't read any of the books on your TBR list, so (for those) I'm going by what looked good for you. Enjoy! :-)

Spring
1. Spring Cleaning: Venom
2. Season of Rebirth: Three to Ride
TOTALLY not your usual style (wanted to up the ante!), but a book I really enjoyed.

Summer
3. Summer flings: Out of Body
4. Beach Reads: This Perfect Kiss

Autumn
5. Sports Season: Bed of Roses OR the first one - Vision in White (if you haven't read it yet)
6. TV Seasons: Claimed
A sci-fi/pnr series that I'm really loving right now.

Winter
7. Cozy Winter: Gabriel's Inferno
8. Pass It On : Seduction and Snacks
This is my first PIFM challenge, and the books that have been personally rec'd to me are nowhere close to something you'd read, lol! This one was a group read from another group that I ended up reading because everyone was RAVING about it. Funniest book I've read in a looooong time.

Venom (Elemental Assassin, #3) by Jennifer Estep Three to Ride (Nights in Bliss, Colorado, #1) by Sophie Oak Out of Body (Court of Angels, #1) by Stella Cameron This Perfect Kiss by Christie Ridgway Bed of Roses (Bride Quartet, #2) by Nora Roberts Claimed (Brides of the Kindred, #1) by Evangeline Anderson Gabriel's Inferno (Gabriel's Inferno #1) by Sylvain Reynard Seduction and Snacks (Chocolate Lovers, #1) by Tara Sivec

PS - That was so much fun! I love this challange, already!

Elizabeth Hi Diane ~Firefly~

I finally got your picks done. I had a good time going through your shelves, but I must admit, I was intimidated! This is the first time going in that I have no clue if you will find something you want to read or not. Let me know, and if you don't I will consult a professional!

1. Spring Cleaning:

Touch of Evil This was at the very beginning of your TBR!
The Opal Deception I saw that you had read others in this series and thought you might want to pick up where you left off!

2. Season of Rebirth:

The Host I noticed that you did not have many sci-fi books. I enjoyed reading this book last winter.

3. Summer Flings:

A Hidden Fire I am a kindle reader and saw this on your list. It looks like it could be very interesting.

4. Beach Reads:

Dog Nanny This book was on your TBR and seemed to be light and entertaining.

5. Sports Season:

Hidden Star Ok, so I am cheating with this one. I have no clue what is popular, and I couldn't find anything to do with sports. I had to settle for a popular author that you seemed to enjoy!

6. TV Seasons:

666 Park Avenue I know this is coming out on TV soon. Looks like a good drama!

7. Cozy Winter:

The Poisonwood Bible This book is near and dear to my heart. I keep three copies. One for myself to read, one to lend so others can read, and one that stays perfectly unread!

8. Pass it on:

The Lovely Bones This is a YA book that was recommended to me by an old friend. It is a sweet and moving book.

Hope you find something that you can read! Let me know!

Touch of Evil (Thrall, #1) by C.T. Adams The Opal Deception (Artemis Fowl, #4) by Eoin Colfer The Host (The Host, #1) by Stephenie Meyer A Hidden Fire (Elemental Mysteries #1) by Elizabeth Hunter Dog Nanny by Ann Whitaker Hidden Star (Stars of Mithra, #1) by Nora Roberts 666 Park Avenue (666 Park Avenue, #1) by Gabriella Pierce The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold

Thank you Breann! I have Lady Isabella's Scandalous Marriage penciled in for another challenge already, so I am most likely going to read that one! And The Locker Room looks good too, if I can manage I am probably going to read that one as well. I don't know if I can fit in more than that, but you never know!

Sue, thank you so much for the awesome picks! Totally brightened my day!

I am currently trying to fight my way through the first 10 chapters of Jane Eyre for Sept. PIFM. So of course, I will continue to trudge through that and hope to get to the good stuff!

I am going to read the Hidden as soon as I can get my hands on it, and am also interested in Dark Lover. It has been picked for me a couple times now. I have never done a buddy read before, so you would have to explain to me what that is and how it works but I would certainly do it if you have time!

I don't think you have ever picked for me before, but you did great, so I wouldn't mind if you had!

Thanks!

Christina (christinaovallsbooks) | 384 comments Hi Vi,

Hopefully I found some books that you would like to read. I tried to keep these from your TBR lists since it seems we have pretty different tastes in books. I'm thinking about adding a few of yours to my TBR though.

1. Spring Cleaning: Recommend a book from a series that they have already started or a book that has been longest in from your pickee's TBR. - Bayou Moon by Ilona Andrews

2. Season of Rebirth: Recommend an author/genre that they don't regularly read. - Needful Things by Stephen King. I know you didn't have this on your TBR, but you did have "It". I have read both and liked this one better.

3. Summer flings: Recommend a book from your pickee's TBR that caught you eye. - Firelight by Sophie Jordan

4. Beach Reads: Recommend a light, fluffy book that can be read in a beach. The Boyfriend List: 15 Guys, 11 Shrink Appointments, 4 Ceramic Frogs and Me, Ruby Oliver by E. Lockhart. I thought this one looked fun. I also wanted to recommend one that was not on your TBR Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella. I thought this one was a fun read.

5. Sports Season: Read a book with sports premise or a very popular book. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. This qualifies as a sport, right?
I truly loved this book.

6. TV Seasons: Fall is the start of new seasons of TV shows. Recommend a series that is new to your pickee or a long book. Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo. This was on your new series list.

7. Cozy Winter: Recommend a book that you read and loved; a book that is a comfort read on a wintery night. Morrigan's Cross by Nora Roberts.

8. Pass It On : Pass on a book you loved that was recommended to you by a friend or from another PIFM challenge. One For The Money

Enjoy!

Jim son of Jim (formerly PhotoJim) (jim_formerly_photojim) | 5294 comments Elishia, I'll have your picks sometime tomorrow.

message 211: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments ok Fran - tenatively, i'm going to do The You Know Who Girls: Freshman Year - since I had it slotted into a SRC category already; I could decided on which Jennifer Echols book, so i ordered both (my library didn't have either of them, so i'll buy and donate), and I picked up Bring Back My Body to Me

message 212: by Ashley (last edited Sep 28, 2012 07:03PM) (new)

Ashley | 449 comments Hi Amy J.
These are my picks for you! I hope you enjoy them.

Spring
1. Spring Cleaning: Timeless (Parasol Protectorate, #5) by Gail Carriger. I noticed that you have read all the other books and enjoyed them. I love this series as well and was very happy with it from start to end. Even though he was dumb when she first got pregnant I love them as a couple. Alex always makes me laugh.
Timeless (Parasol Protectorate, #5) by Gail Carriger

2. Season of Rebirth: I noticed that you are far better rounded then I am. However your smallest category seems to be comedies. Because of this I recommended Sex, Murder And A Double Latte (A Sophie Katz Murder Mystery #1) by Kyra Davis. It is a series about an author who writes murder mystery books. The only problem is someone starts copying the murders from her books. It is a great funny series and her best friend owns a sex shop. And of course there is irresistible mysterious man thrown in the mix as well.
Sex, Murder And A Double Latte (A Sophie Katz Murder Mystery #1) by Kyra Davis

Summer
3. Summer flings: The Dante Club by Matthew Pearl, I saw this book on your TBR list and it definitely caught my eye. I have always been fascinated by Dante and his circles of hell.
The Dante Club by Matthew Pearl

4. Beach Reads: Talk Me Down (Tumble Creek, #1) by Victoria Dahl, a great light read with a bit of crime added in.
Talk Me Down (Tumble Creek, #1) by Victoria Dahl

Autumn
5. Sports Season: The Perfect Play (Play by Play, #1) by Jaci Burton, gotta love the cover of this book....
The Perfect Play (Play by Play, #1) by Jaci Burton

6. TV Seasons: Cry Wolf (Alpha & Omega, #1) by Patricia Briggs, I noticed that you like Patricia Briggs other books and in my opinion this one starts off her best series. I really enjoyed the couple from the Alpha and Omega books.
Cry Wolf (Alpha & Omega, #1) by Patricia Briggs

Winter
7. Cozy Winter: Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen, I absolutely loved this book. I was just one of those books that just left me feeling happy in the end.
Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen

8. Pass It On : The Bride (Lairds' Fiancées, #1) by Julie Garwood, this book was recommended to me by my best friend and it is now one of my absolute favorites. It is my favorite historical novel thus far.
The Bride (Lairds' Fiancées, #1) by Julie Garwood

Melissa | 1245 comments Lexa - loved looking through your shelves...some of your favorites are some of my favorites too! Here are the picks I chose for you:

Spring
1. Spring Cleaning: Insurgent
*I noticed you read the first in the series and liked it and I have heard great things about this series so I thought I would suggest it.
2. Season of Rebirth: Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side
*I enjoyed this book and thought it was a different take on the teen vampire thing.

Summer
3. Summer flings: I've Got Your Number
*I've enjoyed this author's other books and didn't even know she had a new one...adding it to my tbr!
4. Beach Reads: Yours Until Dawn
*With all the other romance books on your shelf, I was surprised not to see a Teresa Medeiros book! This one is great!

Autumn
5. Sports Season: The Night Circus
*I chose a popular book for this category. I really liked this one...it is unique and well written.
6. TV Seasons: The Iron King
*I went with a new to you series. This is one of my favorites!!!

Winter
7. Cozy Winter: Shadowland
*This is the first in Meg Cabot's Mediator series. This is a YA series that I have read several times. It is young girl and see ghosts and falls for the ghost in her new house. Lots of laughs, a little mystery and romance.
8. Pass It On : Soulless
*This was recommended to me by a Goodreads friend and I ended up really liking it.

Thanks for the picks, Carrie!

I am REALLY intrigued by Masked by Moonlight because I have a thing for cop/mob stories. Add in the paranormal and I'm sold!

NO idea why Stray has sat on my bookshelf (both my virtual one and my real one) for so long! I think I will try to get to it this month, too.

If I have time, I will try the Kleypas book. I bought a ton of her books from used book sales because I have seen them recommended all the time here on Goodreads and have not read one yet! Shame on me!

Again, thanks for the picks!

Jane (PS) | 24334 comments Hey ShoSho

Wow - fancy both of us being in Brisvegas!! We should catch up sometime :) (I actually only work there three days a week and live out in the country - but I figured no-one would know where Monto was, so I used Bris!)

Right, well I loved trawling through your shelves :) I see also that you are open to M/M which is a sub-genre I've been reading a lot for the last year, so I'm going to give a second rec to most categories from that area...

Spring
1. Spring Cleaning:

Archangel's Storm - love Nalini's work
A Secret Love - You look like you are on a roll with SL's books
2. Season of Rebirth:
Dragon Bound - this was a 5 star read for me
My Fair Captain - loved this and you've previously enjoyed J.L. Langley! I've just reread it again this week in preparation for book 3 (My Regelence Rake). On my first read it took me a while to get the hang of the regency period twists; but second time around - it really clicked.

Summer
3. Summer flings:

Hounded - I've been checking this one out as an audiobook.
Downtime - I've read a couple of other books by Tamara and enjoyed them; this one looks really interesting!
4. Beach Reads:
Vampires Are Forever - no doubt that Lynsay's books are fun and light :)
The Lion's Lady - despite a somewhat unbelievable scenario, this book is lots of fun.

Autumn
5. Sports Season:

The Art of Racing in the Rain - make sure you have tissues handy; it is humourous, a bit sad, but also uplifting. Hmmm - I think I'm making this book sound a bit weird!
High Line - I'm reading this for the car category in the monthly challenge, so we could buddy read it if you like.
6. TV Seasons:
Soulless - loved this book; very quirky and obscure, but fun as well.
Outlander - haven't read this yet, but it is certainly long!

Winter
7. Cozy Winter:

The Unknown Ajax - my favourite author as a teenager and I still regularly listen to Heyer's books now. This is possibly my favourite book from her repertoire.
Caught Running - one of my first M/M reads and probably my favourite. Definitely a comfort read!
8. Pass It On:
The Eyre Affair - another very quirky but smart book. I loved this book from front to back.
Quinn's Hart - I frankly can't remember if this was rec'd to me, but I often rec it in reverse. A lovely romance with a nerdy character who suffers from painful shyness.

Hope one of these suits, ShoSho :) Let me know if you would like some tweaking!

Spring
1. Spring Cleaning: Fool Moon -I'm on this book in the series too, so we could do a buddy read if you're interested

2. Season of Rebirth: Darkfever. It looks like you enjoy paranormal, but you don't seem to have read anything by Karen Marie Moning. I don't think you could go wrong with either of her series, but the Fever series is my favorite, so it's my recommendation to you.

MountainKat | 31598 comments Hi Rishika, here are your picks! I hope you can find something you like - picking for you was not easy as your shelves are not very big and I wasn't really familiar with a lot of the books you have. Let me know if I need to try again! And I'm going to be bad and give you more than one recommendation for some of the rules. =)

Spring
1. Spring Cleaning: You have had Unearthly by Cynthia Hand on your to-read shelf for a while, so maybe now is the time to read it. On the shelf not quite as long is Invisible Touch by Kelly Parra, it is also on your have-to-read shelf!
2. Season of Rebirth: One of my favorite authors, Maya Banks, writes several different genres - so I'm going to give you a variety by her! The Darkest Hour is a Romantic Suspense, In Bed with a Highlander is a Historical, Sweet Surrender is an Erotic Romance.

Summer
3. Summer Flings: The one that jumped out at me from your to-read shelf was Club Shadowlands by Cherise Sinclair. If you pick this one, maybe we could do a buddy read?
4. Beach Reads: I love Susan Elizabeth Phillips' sense of humor and you have Kiss an Angel on your TBR too! I haven't read this one yet either, I keep trying to fit it in, but just haven't gotten to it yet.

Autumn
5. Sports Season: I couldn't decide between two series here - I love them both too much! Maybe you will like one of them too - The Perfect Play by Jaci Burton or It Had to Be You by Susan Elizabeth Phillips.
6. TV Seasons: I picked a long book off your to-read shelf for this one, My Life in France by Julia Child.

Winter
7. Cozy Winter: Simply Irresistible by Jill Shalvis, I loved this book and the entire series!
8. Pass It On: I read Dragon Bound by Thea Harrison for the PIFM Challenge earlier this year and loved it! I think you might like it too!

Nancy H | 1111 comments Hi Ashley,
Here are the picks I made for you. We don’t have a lot of books in common, but I tried to find ones that I thought you might like and that were, for the most part, on your TBR list. If you don’t see anything you like, please let me know and I will pick more for you.

1. Half-Blood (Covenant #1) by Jennifer Armentrout or any of the “Rock Chick” series by Kristen Ashley that you haven’t read yet.
2. Mum’s the Word (Flower Shop Mystery #1) by Kate Collins
3. Seven Exes Are Eight Too Many by Heather Wardell
4. On the Island by Tracey Garvis-Graves
5. Catching Jordan by Miranda Keneally (This one was just recommended to me and I loved it!)
6. Tangled Up In Love (Chicks with Sticks #1) by Heidi Betts or How to Knit a Wild Bikini by Christie Ridgway
7. The Wolf and the Dove by Kathleen E. Woodiwiss or Julia’s Chocolates by Cathy Lamb (I loved them both!)
8. The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbauch or Shadow of Night (All Souls trilogy #2) by Deborah Harkness

Happy Reading!

You had some really great suggestions I want to read everything! I think I'm going to begin with The Iron King. I've heard so many great things about this series. I always put it off because when I think of fairies I can't get past the image of tinkerbell. But, you've given me the push to jump in and try it out. :) Thanks for the great recommendations!

Thank you so much, Rachel. These look GREAT! I can't wait to get started on some of them, but am traveling now and won't be home until Tuesday. By the end of next week, I should be able to start a Buddy Read with you if you would like. I already have Mane Event if you want to start with that one. I will go ahead and look for the Mystery Man one and maybe we can Buddy Read that one later in the month.

Thanks again for the fabulous picks! I wish I were home in my 'library' so I could get started but will have to wait a few days. (Actually I am so intrigued that I might see if the local bookstore here has the ones I don't have!)

I made a list(PIFM-OCT) and added the ones that I might read , let's see how many I will read in October.

Between the ones I didn't have on my list Caught Running by Abigail Roux is on top of the list.

Glad you liked my picks! I'll be interested to know how you go with them :) (I wouldn't normally make so many suggestions, but I couldn't resist with the M/M ones ;)

Lacy (lacy_stewart) | 1966 comments Karen,

Here are your picks! I hope that you find something that sparks your interest.

1. Spring Cleaning: The Fountainhead -
I had trouble with this one because your list is pretty recent. I went to the oldest and picked the one that I had read before. I really enjoyed this book.

2. Season of Rebirth: Dark Lover - One of the best paranormal romance series!

3. Summer Fling: Gabriel's Inferno

4. Beach Reads: The Lion's Lady - light, cute, endearing...A definite beach read.

5. Sports Season:
Sports Premise: Simply Irresistible
Very Popular: The Hunger Games

6. TV Seasons: The Pillars of the Earth - You have read a lot of his books and this is a different genre for him to write. I loved it!

7. Cozy Winter:
The Secret - A favorite of mine.
In the Silence of the Night

8. Pass It On: Sugar Daddy

The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand Dark Lover (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #1) by J.R. Ward Gabriel's Inferno (Gabriel's Inferno #1) by Sylvain Reynard The Lion's Lady (Crown's Spies, #1) by Julie Garwood The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1) by Suzanne Collins Simply Irresistible (Chinooks Hockey Team, #1) by Rachel Gibson The Pillars of the Earth (The Pillars of the Earth, #1) by Ken Follett The Secret (Highlands' Lairds #1) by Julie Garwood In the Silence of the Night by Alanna Lucas Sugar Daddy (Travises, #1) by Lisa Kleypas

Joyce (eternity21) | 739 comments Hi Elke, Here are your October picks. I hope you find a few to inspire you. My second time picking for you this year.

Spring
1. Spring Cleaning: Three to Get Deadly I see you have recently started this series as I have. I am enjoying it very much. Here is the next one up in this series.
2. Season of Rebirth: The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon I see you do not really read Horror or Stephen King. I am not a huge fan either. But this one is really good and not overly scary.

Summer
3. Summer flings: The Soulkeepers This book looks really interesting. I added it to my TBR list (Like it needed to get longer)
4. Beach Reads: Breath of Magic I find romances to be great beach reads and this one has a touch of paranormal in it. I really loved this trilogy.

Autumn
5.Sports Season: The Hunger Games This has certainly been a popular book. It is one I've been meaning to read even after seeing the movie.
6. TV Seasons: Storm Front This was a short lived TV series but an even better book series. If you like audible books try to get it there because it is narrated by James Marsters (Spike) and is really done well that way.

Winter
7. Cozy Winter: Night Pleasures This is the second in the Dark Hunter series and when it really starts to get good. The first was a bit of fluff compared to this one. It is a good book to curl up with and block out the rest of the world.
8. Pass It On: Garden Spells this book was recommended to me by a friend and I did not get around to reading it for two years until it was recommended in a challenge. I fell in love with it. Hope you do too.

Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1) by Suzanne Collins Night Pleasures (Dark-Hunter, #2) by Sherrilyn Kenyon Three to Get Deadly (Stephanie Plum, #3) by Janet Evanovich The Soulkeepers (The Soulkeepers, #1) by G.P. Ching Storm Front (The Dresden Files, #1) by Jim Butcher The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon by Stephen King Breath of Magic (Lennox Family Magic, #1) by Teresa Medeiros

Hi Laura

I'm going to go with either Bitten or The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie - it depends on which I can download in audio. I'd listen to First Drop of Crimson, but I haven't yet read book 4 with Cat and Bones, and I think FDOC is set directly after it...

Thanks for the great choices :)
