Hey Michelle, is there going to be a slipcase for the two-volumes?
Thanks!

For whatever reason, producing slipcases is almost as expensive as producing the books. So as to keep the price somewhat reasonable, we're not doing slipcases - wish we could.
Looks like a Hind's Kidnap hardback will be coming in August 2021: https://www.amazon.com/Hinds-Kidnap-J...

Perhaps if we order customs slipcases from someone in bulk, we could get some kind of deal?
@GeorgeYou could always glue together some construction paper like Dalkey did for Bottom’s Dream lol

lmao! You're right, that box is pretty damn flimsy!
I will be co-hosting a group read of Joseph McElroy's magnum opus Women and Men on Jan 22nd. So far about 15 people have signed up. It will involve GR discussions and only occasional Zoom meetings for real-time conversation. Let me know if you're interested. If you need a copy, Dzanc is selling a reasonably-priced paperback on their website here: https://www.dzancbooks.org/our-books/...
Brilliant minimalism! That’s adapted from the chart on winds in the book and incorporates of course the gender symbols. Very cool. Thanks for sharing.

It's an improvement on the recent paperback and the terrible typographical choices there, but still just feels a bit uninspired and mismatched from how the book feels to me. Obviously, a cover isn't everything, but for a collector's edition, I was hoping for a really impressive and artful design.

I like its minimalism. Almost would have been better without the symbol in the middle, and maybe just type and dyed boards a la the ultramarine edition.

I'm with Griffin on the first edition cover being the best. The Dzanc paperback cover could have been my favorite had they used a font that doesn't look like some design program default.
The minimalism of this new cover belies the book's complexity but so does the book's title, in a way. I think it will look better on the physical book and I also think a minimalist cover is in some ways better than trying to top the boldness of the first edition cover. But I know what you mean. The perfect cover for WaM so far does not exist, if it could ever.
Agree with Griffin on this... pretty awful design. I’m still looking forward to getting my copy - but yeah, a bummer for sure.
Spent a lot of time on episode 2 of The Collidescope Podcast. Reading a story by Theroux. Totally different vibe from the Joe story. I'm very excited to share it with you all. In the meantime, here's the first episode for those who missed it, Night Soul by Joseph McElroy: https://www.buzzsprout.com/1849671
I don't know if finding a copy is still an issue, but this listing just went up on Abebooks. Apparently, this seller has 20 copies at $25 each in fine condition.https://www.abebooks.com/servlet/Book...
