Women and Men discussion
Trying to find a Copy?

Also, wasn't it printed by Dalkey at one point? what happened to that?

What I'm seeing is a general change of policy ; the kind of change in policy which shrinks their long=term warehousing of unpopular books.
But, yep, Dzanc should have a few more McElroy's in the pipeline (Lookout Cartridge, probably next?) ; but I'm not quite sure that they'll do all of them. But they did get Plus into an ebook. Which is a plus.

They've released Lookout Cartridge as an ebook, would love to see some print versions, can't mark or make notes in my hardbacks.

Nicely done!

Watch this space!!
Dzanc doesn't really give us a lot of advanced notice, so one day we'll wake up and have to dive for that ORDER NOW!! button.

and his W&M http://www.johansonrarebooks.com/page...

Plus has typically been priced at US$50+ for the last many months. Dzanc now has an ebook out, so pb prices (hd still $$$) seem to have finally dropped. amazon now has a few listed at reasonable rates (should you, like me, need paper books) :

I'm not seeing any ten=buck W&M. Do you have a link?

A lot of times they pull it back and say it's no longer available. One of these days Dzanc will come through. One of the comments on Amazon said that McElroy pulled the rights from Dalkey Archive, because a different publisher was going to publish it. Not sure if that was for Dzanc or Overlook though. Hard to say how long the comment has been on their site.

Was that the one they upped the price on?

Congrats. Hope you enjoy the reading journey now.

Congrats! It's a great feeling to hold a physical copy in your hands.

For those that are too lazy to click: 3rd edition new cover and the best edition ever for accuracy is almost ready. Taken from McElroy's twitter.

It looks like he just joined today.

They are still there!
[not to pry open your purse, but atm I'm not expecting the Dzanc third edition until 2017 earliest]

Does this mean IT'S HAPPENING!?"
Without a date I wouldn't say. But last I heard, sometime in '17?

" Used - Acceptable
Many corner dings. The cover has visible markings and wear. The cover has a badly warped spine! The dust jacket is missing. Pages have age spots and/or yellow discoloration/stains."

At least it would sound as though someone might have actually read this copy.

If only I could believe Barth had actually read it!
That bookseller has been selling quite a lot from Barth's library, all Barth=signed ; a couple of folks around these here parts even picked up a few.

He and Robert Walsh are meeting to put together one final list of corrections needed for the eBook. This is go-around 3 or 4 now getting closer each time. Joseph wants this to be the definitive version. So, the eBook shouldn't be too far off.
Then we have to backwards engineer the print version so that will be a bit longer. I'm not truly sure on how long that will take but it's a priority for Dzanc right now.
