Like many others here - pasta! Though sometimes I think I like the garlic bread more. I think I'll go with a generic 'bread' as my favorite. A life without bread is not a life worth living. I wouldn't survive on the Atkins diet. Love my carbs.

Haha it's fries with cheese curds and gravy. It's probably the most unhealthy food on earth, but it's delicious!
Dawn- poutine is the greatest thing ever! Homemade is especially the best!
I have never heard of poutine, to be honest it sounds quite odd. But now I kinda want to find a restaurant that serves it. I'm not sure I could make it at home with out really knowing what I am making. I imagine it is a twist on chili cheese fries which I love in all forms.

Just, instead of chili you have beef gravy and it NEEDS to be cheese curds :P I moved out of Quebec a few years ago (just barely, I'm about 45 minutes from my home town) and I can't find good, authentic poutine anywhere. I've found a few decent places, but nowhere like what I grew up eating. It's disappointing!
Ok I am completely ignorant of it. Is it a Quebec thing or a Canadian thing? Or is it popular other places too. I need to figure out how far I need to go to try some.
It's a Canadian thing, but more common in Quebec. My understanding from my cousins who now live in BC is that it's not really the same out there, haha. You can probably find it in the States though, but I can't say how authentic/delicious it'll be lol.
