I did not see that you read this one. Try it is the very definition of fantastic fiction. Also, The Goldfinch, Our Man in Havana, The Sheltering Sky. If you are into fantasy at all, try the amazing Neverwhere. If you are into good mystery, very few things are better than The Alienist. If you like historical fiction, then Master and Commander begins a 20-volume saga of the Napoleonic Wars that is an absolute literary gem.
