[close] When an esteemed group of scientists gather to research the unthinkable they end up unleashing a powerful plague that ravages the planet. The project succeeded in the worst possible way. Originally intent on learning the secrets of reanimation, these scientists released the zombie apocalypse. Strain 1109-X quickly demolishes all but a small portion of the human race, sending the world into a new dark age. There aren’t enough people left to wage a sufficient attack on the living-dead and surely no leaders to band the remaining few together. The survivors live in constant fear for their survival, and no one knows when or if the plague with mutate and claim the rest of humanity.
