Similar to Douglas Adams, Pratchett, Christopher Moore, Tom Holt, Christopher Genoa, Grant Naylor (together and separately), Tony Vigorito, Nina Post, Stephen Faulds, Robert Kroese, Jenn Thorsen, Peter David, David Gerrold, Hell, Inc.by C.M. Stunich, Hell's supers, Jonathan Gould, etc. Ignoring Tom Robbins, Aspirin, Piers Anthony, etc.
please please check out my Goodreads tagged Comedic sci-fi, etc.
The latest books I've read (or re-read) (and absolutely adored) were the Clovenhoof series (Grant and Goody), The Afternet series (Peter Empringham), Mercury series (Robert Kroese), Plob series, Bogg! (by Attias), ..
The more obscure the better, in ebook format even better. Points lost for bizarro works/authours (like Andersen Prouty, etc.), it's not my type of humour.
If you have a similar list of authours or works, please let me know or add me as a friend. I'm also on lendle, so if you also love comedic sci-fi and fantasy, and I've mentioned a book or authour you haven't heard of or read, feel free to request an ebook from me on lendle.me (username either weepopstar or ogingero). Thanks!

Only here because there isn't enough competition for Am*z*n/Badreads , feel free to recommend other options.
A rant - Goodreads Choice Awards are a bad joke. A total manipulated scam. (Think I'm joking? If you were having a legitimate readers choice contest, how would you do it? Pick the most read in each genre, with the highest ratings? Or just the highest rated over a certain amount of ratings (like maybe they have to have at least 100 ratings with reviews?). Maybe you'd add in they have to be above a certain ratio (likes to dislikes, how many gave it 4 or 5 stars vs 1 or 2 stars). Makes sense right? If you were to pull a fast one, you'd only use "most widely read" (AKA ones with most publicity on MSM, and only require it have an above 3.5 star rating. Oh and only books that Goodreads itself has nominated, mostly from authors that are on Goodreads). Get the picture? It's a scam, Hitler and Stalin would have won awards on Goodreads. They do like supporting racist and antiSemitic authors.
Their recommendations are similarly done.
Read mostly on the Pocketbook (unlike the Kindle, it actually supports foreign languages!) ...more
