I tried to add a couple of 10th century books but kept getting a message saying they weren't published in the 10th Century. What's up with that? For example:
Al-Masudi - Meadows of Gold and Mines of Gems
Hrosvitha - Dulcitius
Also, I have publication date of around 1020 for the Ferdowsi, FWIW.
A lot of books have either no first publication date, or the wrong one.Meadows of Gold and Dulcitius now both have 10th-century first publication dates.
I agree with John: For Shahnameh: The Persian Book of Kings 1010 is given as date of first publication...
The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter could be added to this list or the 9th century one (it currently has an original publication year of 900, but wikipedia describes it as from the 10th century).Daredevils of Sassoun: The Armenian National Epic could also be added (at the moment, it has an original publication year of 850, but reading about it on wikipedia, it sounds like it should be dated no earlier than the 10th century).
Booklovinglady wrote: "I agree with John: For Shahnameh: The Persian Book of Kings 1010 is given as date of first publication..."Since the original publication date of Shahnameh: The Persian Book of Kings is 1010 C.E., shouldn’t it be on the 11th century list instead of the 10th?
