What Members Thought

meh. it was okay. This author writes an awful lot of YA and I think that pretty well sums up his book. It's kind of a juvenile plot and the characters are pretty childish (so much so I kept forgetting the main character was old enough to hold a job!!)

Neil Gaiman's 'Neverwhere' is very much a Labryinth for grown-ups. A twisting tale of adventure that starts off in our world, but is then transported to land where nothing is as it seems- or is as expected. Dark, gritty, and terrifically fun. A quick read and a great intro to Neil Gaiman, though not nearly as epic in scope as American Gods. If you know what comes after, "You remind me of the babe." you will love this book.

I had thought for a long time that I should read something by Neil Gaiman. This was the first one I read, and sadly I was a bit disappointed. I liked the general idea of the story, the idea of another world in the London Underground. But for some reason, the story never really caught me, as well as the characters.
