What a fabulous ending to a great story arc! Too often, no matter how much build up to a war/battle a series has, the actual battle is glossed over. Not here. There was a really nice balance of everyday life and battle (not side-by-side, but throughout the book!).

I really hope this isn't it for the Guild Hunters world. There are so may stories yet to learn. And 2 of Raphael's Seven still haven't found their mates! ...more

The Cascade is playing havoc with the Earth, lava & earthquakes where there shouldn't be any, with the weather, ice storms in the tropics & deserts & heat in the poles. And with the Archangels & Angel-Made gaining weird powers.

The Cascade wants chaos and doesn't want one single power in the world, so its handing out the extra powers like candy. But that doesn't mean Raphael & crew can defeat the Archangel of Death, Lijuan.

This book has the best action & battle scenes I've read in pnr/uf for quit ...more

I'm sorry, I love Nalini and I will read anything she writes. But this was boring for the first half and then an endless war for the second half. I guess its a good end to all the build up, but it wasn't much fun to read. ...more
