Looking at the description of Go Tell It on the Mountain, it is set in Harlem, which is a part of New York City. To me it would work for both locations.

I would say yes to Moonlit Nephrite, no to Surviving Plagues and maybe for Dreams Made Flesh.

Looking forward to meeting our new player! Welcome David!

88432 I think the greens are close enough. But the mods don't like general locations. In the U.S. I don't think they let us use states.

Would this work for a red? Moonlight in Odessa by Janet Skeslien Charles

88432 Question: I just looked at the master member list, that shows how many books each of us have read. My number is 1 off. (Credits me one more book than I have read.) I checked my Uno shelf and the planning spreadsheet and they agree with my records. Not important but not sure how it happened.

88432 I hope everything is ok with Romina. I just started another 1 card book because that looks like what we will really need. Let me know what else we might need. Not sure if I will read The Wife (which I said the other day) but I will read Jazz for another challenge, even though it doesn't meet any of the cards we need.

Ooh- The Snowman was creepy but good. Have you read any of his other books?

88432 I am currently reading:

Fight Night
Jazz
Close Enough to Touch
The Wife

I plan on finishing those. If you think this is blue, I'll wait to see the March cards. If not, I'll probably read this too. Finlay Donovan Knocks 'Em Dead (Finlay Donovan, #2) by Elle Cosimano

88432 We still need 23 more books read to complete this month. Do you think we will make it? I can push to finish 5 or 6 but probably not more.

This upcoming week?

Any word on Romina? Looks like we still need lots of 1s (7) and then 4 of 4s, 6s and skips. And then 1 or 2 of a few more. I'll see what I can do with some 1s.

88432 As a person who has a fear of flying, Elli's unwinding watching planes landing in the wind sounds horrifying. Although it encouraged me to go to our local small airport and watch planes land and take off with my husband on this pretty day.

I just finished a book that I put in the mini challenge and have one more book to finish for my commitment to the mini challenge. Looking ahead, I wondered if Laura can give some guidance of what cards to try to fill based on what you (Laura) expect to read?

I also wanted to make sure that if we start a book in the next week but don't finish it until after March 1, we can use it for a March Book. I think that is the way it worked last year. I have a couple color books that have come in my holds and I might start one this week and hold off finishing until next month. When do we get our March cards dealt?

88432 Good news! I finished a red 1. Fadeout (A Dave Brandstetter Mystery Book 1) by Joseph Hansen

Since it was last minute, I didn't have it slotted for the mini challenge. If anyone doesn't want to finish a small town prompt, this book has a couple motels which would work.

I understand the not finishing. That's why I try to find small projects to work on. This baby blanket may be too large a project for me. But I joined a knitting group at my library so at least I will keep it going awhile.

As for returning the books to the library, I have become such an ereader that I miss that satisfaction of the returns. The only books I seem to return to the library are the ones I don't finish. So then my emotion is embarrassment.

Here's a link to a blog that has a lot of lists of good audiobooks. Hope that gives you ideas. https://modernmrsdarcy.com/category/b...

88432 Laura- Sure, I'll take care of it this weekend. Hope everything is ok with Romina. I should be able to finish 3 or 4 books this weekend.

Paris- I am impressed that you can crochet shorts. It sounds complicated to me. I am knitting a baby blanket right now (no baby in the family, just seemed something I could work on and donate when I am finished.) I would love to see the finished product!

88432 Would Sehrish or Romina like me to read a Red 1? I found one that I could use.

We have to complete 40 tasks to get full credit for the mini, don't we? I started a locked door mystery today from the mini list that I should finish later today or tomorrow.

88432 I finished 3 books today and have updated my shelves and spreadsheets. Like Elli, I love Charlotte McConaghy too but I think I liked Migrations slightly better than Once there were Wolves. They were both 5 star reads for me!

I would vote no.

88432 It is cold and overcast here in Cincinnati (29F) but our team is in the Super Bowl!!! I expect to finish at least 3 books tomorrow, making them eligible for the mini challenge.

Laura- I wanted to let you know I also have a book with a road on the cover. The Passenger by Lisa Lutz Let me know if you want me to read it.

88432 One I have out there is The Maid by Nita Prose. It's popular so I don't expect it soon and I'm not sure I would want to use it this month since it is very red. I like this genre so I'm sure I can find something off the list to read if need be.
