Any word on The Appeal by Janice Hallett ?

88432 I am so glad we have more choices for color cards. I have One of Us Is Next (One of Us Is Lying, #2) by Karen M. McManus that we can use for a red skip.

Blue? Green?"

Looks Blue to me."

I might lean toward green.

88432 I have an interesting question (I think.) I have on my shelf the book, The Appeal by Janice Hallett . It looks blue to me. But it is a book of texts and emails, no oral dialogue. Our guideline for characters is that they have meaningful dialogue but this book features nothing other than written messages. Would those conversations count for characters?

88432 I just finished The Personal Librarian by Marie Benedict Hope we'll see our April cards this weekend so we can start planning. Have a great weekend everyone! It's going to be a cold one here with a chance of snow tomorrow night. Hoping that will be the last of the wintery weather.

88432 I just finished The Fire Engine That Disappeared (Martin Beck, #5) by Maj Sjöwall which I put in for a country book. Only book I have left for the mini is The Personal Librarian by Marie Benedict . Let me know if we need to fill any other holes. I can finish at least another book before the 31st.

88432 I just finished Lots of Candles, Plenty of Cake by Anna Quindlen and updated my shelf and spreadsheets. I am currently reading Light Years from Home and will start Buried in Secret soon. I should be able to finish the 3 books I committed to by 3/31, if not before. I'll keep you updated.

88432 I meant that I didn't think I would get to The Girl with the Loading Voice. I do plan on reading the Sweden book. I'll switch those back.

I don't think Serish's book works for the definition of a picture you would hang on the wall.

Luckily it is also set in Italy so I can take a spot in this section if you need me to Felicity?"

You are welcome to replace one of my country books. I think the last book I will be able to get to is “The Girl with the Louding Voice.”

88432 Agree with the no pink and yes for a fantasy cover for David's book.

If anyone has a country book to read, I can give up one of mine.

88432 Laura- Looks like Eli and Paris added color books so if you want to delete both my color books, you are welcome to do that. I don't want to make that change in case it messes something else up.

Thanks so much! Now to decide which one I want to read.

I worry that I have overcommitted to the books I am going to read for the mini. if you see any that fit a mini color I can give up one of mine.

88432 Laura- I am amazed you have updated the sheets already. But my number of books read doesn't reflect the true number I have read. I believe last month it was the result of how you entered some of my books that worked for multiple cards. Could you look at that?
Mar 17, 2022 11:18AM

88432 I don't think it quite fits as a classical painting.

No worries. This is all a lot to keep straight. I just put back my 3 country books and added a fourth.

I thought she mentioned that hers would work for a W. Don't we need that too?

88432 Laura- What did you think about my Red 8 book?
Mar 16, 2022 05:45PM

88432 I agree.
Mar 16, 2022 07:39AM

88432 I am reading a book that would work for the Red 8. Would that help? 44 Scotland Street (44 Scotland Street, #1) by Alexander McCall Smith
