We’ll be thinking of you! Good luck.

I am unclear how this is all going to work when this starts. We have certain cards we have to reach in order for the month. How do I know what I should be reading? If we all just pick our own books don't we run the risk of not meeting some of the cards we have to match? Or reading too many books that don't matter because we don't need their qualities? I have 25 books I could choose from on my UNO shelf but it might be helpful to know which numbers are needed as we proceed through the month so I know which to choose.

yes, Transcendent Kingdom will be the first book I start because it is for a book club on the 8th.

I think Kaylee may have been going through the list.

me too! Fortunately I only have 2 that I plan to finish and 1 that I will read slowly as I read the ones for this challenge. Don't want a book hangover come Monday.

Not only were Veronica and I working, but Elena is too. We are all excited!

Hi- I was adding some books as Veronica was so I apologize if I messed anything up. I'll wait until she is done. On the other hand, I read and LOVED The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue which is on Veronica's list. For future reference for a reverse.

Another question- on the collaborative spreadsheet, how many books should we enter? Should it be the number we expect to read for February?

3AM est"sorry but I am not getting up then to start reading. LOL

I was looking ahead and found a green 9 I would like to read: Ask Again Yes by Mary Beth Keane. It takes place in NYC. We need that in the second hand.

I am sorry but since I am new I'm going to be asking questions. My shelf name is UNO for Uno not Felicity. Where do I change that?

What time do we start reading on Monday? Not familiar with AEDST.

Hi Im Felicity and I am from Cincinnati, Ohio. This is my first time playing UNO. This was recommended by a friend in my Literary Society who is a co captain of another group and she said it is a lot of fun.
It was fate that I was put in the Stand by Me group because in church the other day the sermon featured a scene from the movie and my husband and I agreed we need to watch it again. So it is sitting at the library for me to pick up and watch this weekend!
My household consists of my 18 year old daughter who is a senior in high school and debating where she will go to college next year and my husband, who is recovering from a massive stroke he suffered last May. I spend my time driving him to therapy and appointments but always find time to read. We also have an orange tabby named Tiger.
Over the past year, I have found a new favorite genre: UpLit. I also like general fiction, mystery, thriller, some non fiction and some fantasy, particularly time travel. I am in 3 book clubs and our neighborhood Literary Society, as well as following a bookish blogger, so I always have lots of books and genres on my TBR list.
I created an UNO shelf that has the books I have on hand that I want to read in the next month or two. I'm sure that list will grow.
I find caffeine leaves me jittery and I can't sleep if I have too much late in the day so I have 2 cups of coffee in the morning (Starbucks Pike Place in my Keurig) and an iced tea at lunch.
Looking forward to getting to know you all!

I checked the spreadsheet and saw my name on the reserve list.

I signed up around 9 Sunday the 17th but my time stamp on the spreadsheet is 13 hours later so I am the first person on the reserves list. I have never played before and I wonder if I will be placed on a team? How do you find out that you are in a team? Do you think it will be after the competition starts in Feb.1?
