88432 I enjoyed it. Lots of twists and turns. When I looked at the author, I realized I had read another of his, Eight Perfect Murders which was good too. Although it's interesting that he likes to write from the point of view of the murderers, which is not something I read often.

88432 I just finished The Kind Worth Killing by Peter Swanson and updated the spreadsheets. I should be able to read Yours Cheerfully (The Emmy Lake Chronicles, #2) by A.J. Pearce by Friday and it could be used for a cover with a woman on it, if Mehrnoush or Paris cannot finish theirs.

88432 It depends on the spoiler. I do like to be surprised in thrillers but it has to make sense.

88432 I would say teenager so would work for child. I am reading a reverse The Kind Worth Killing by Peter Swanson which Elli read. Elli would you recommend it? It also features drinks like Guiness and gin and tonic which work in the mini.

I just finished Dear Mrs. Bird (The Emmy Lake Chronicles #1) by A.J. Pearce . I should finish In Concrete by Anne Garréta today too.

I am doubtful to read The Cellist, which I claimed for a musical instrument. If someone else has a book with a musical instrument in it they are welcome to take it. If not I will try to find a replacement this weekend.

88432 This is making me crazy. I can't find the page for the champagne in The Life List so can I do napkins or a roasting pan? And I can't find the sardines in In Concrete so I'm going to have to wait until I get to that part in the book (I looked ahead and found it but don't know where.)

88432 I'm also reading One of Us is Next and they eat empanadas which would be unusual too.

88432 I am not sure where to slot in my books. Here is an example: I am reading The Match and here are the items I have noticed so far- herbal tea, coffee cup, pizza, spoon, cereal, fries, fry basket, plates, ketchup. So it is food, drink and utensils.

88432 I'm confused. Are you just notifying us that you are committing to read that book?
Apr 13, 2022 05:27PM

88432 I don't think you need to invite the team, just read the book.

88432 Looking at the mini-challenge, I think the hardest category are items 19-24,Read a book which has given another team its name. The rest of the clues should be simple and we could fill in as we finish books. Most books mention eating and food at some point and people use utensils to eat and drink so that's categories 1-18. Aside for the team names this challenge doesn't look like we will need to find books just to meet the categories, which should make it all easier and finish the challenge on a fun note!

88432 Oh my goodness Laura! Take it easy on yourself. Hope the clot takes care of itself soon.

88432 I see on another team's thread that the mini challenge for April is going to be released this evening. Sure hope it is less challenging this month since they are so late getting this out. It will begin on Friday.

I am sorry to say but I think my UNO book hangover has begun early this year. I am having trouble finding time or interest to read or finish books.

88432 I just finished my blue skip. Love Your Life by Sophie Kinsella

88432 oops-thought I did. Done now!

88432 Happy April! Just finished my first book for April and updated the spreadsheet. Wishing you all a good Friday and upcoming weekend, with lots of time to read.

While I enjoy the team challenge part of UNO I wish it could be more competitive. Except for not finishing challenges (which the team I was on last year did) there is no way to win or lose by anything the team does. I am not a fan of pure chance games.

88432 Thanks. Every time I think I understand the challenge I discover something else complicated. Thank you so much for taking such good care of our team.

88432 Laura- I was just looking at the planning spreadsheets and noticed that Eli was credited for a book read in April. I knew that couldn't be right so I looked at the April sheet and one of her entries has a period after her name. I think you said that was the reason one of mine showed incorrectly. Just thought you should know.

88432 I just added Caramel Pecan Roll Murder (Hannah Swensen, #28) by Joanne Fluke for orange. I will probably read a pink book this coming month, too. I have some red and yellow books on my TBR but I can't find any to match the cards we need. I'll keep looking.

Green? [bookcover:The Seeker|4..."

Only possible yellow is The Curse of February 14th. I would say yes on green for The Seeker. Only red I would say is Seduction.
