Ofcourse, nothing beats holding a book in hand and reading it. Hands down!

But, the quarantine got me into audiobooks big time mainly because I get most of my books through my libraries. And I must say it is a very exciting experience, more so because I am huge on how people pronounce words and accents and all that. I tend to do that myself when I am reading a book, so seeing that done by professional voice over actors has been a great experience.

I certainly loved some books much much more in audio and I would highly recommend them in that format; Sadie, Daisy Jones & The Six, and A Woman Is No Man. Beautiful ensemble experiences!

What other hobbies do you guys have?

I sing a bit, also I love collecting music and am sort of a database keeper, so I have ended up collecting and documenting music (primarily Indian) from the 1930s.

I also tend to dance and paint a bit, play most sports that involve a racket (I see you Elisabeth!), love cooking, and I also learned doing needlework and embroidery while I was quarantining with my parents back home last year. What fun!

OMG! Me too! :D
And that's why me being pesky with those Fs, Is, and Vs. Hehe!

So, I might be a bit crazy (umm, no need to shake your head in affirmation so unanimously everyone! :P), but I actually keep a spreadsheet of all these metadata related to a book and character names are also included there. Come to think of it, it might have all started with the very first UNO challenge. LOL! :P

I just edited the post now."

So, this is something I might have to look up and see how others do here. I have always 'unchecked' the "exclude background color" box when checking the cover colors primarily because I believe that a more accurate representation of how the cover actually is. And if we do that, the green ends up being 27.8%,

So, I need to see if it is just my preference or a rule here.
Also, I can see people arguing that this has more black than green.

Yaaay, SNOOOOW! :D It is mildly concerning (thanks to global warming and other relevant environmental changes) that places that don't get snow is getting blanketed. Hopefully we all collectively realize the irreversible changes we are causing on our nature and thereby the planet.

But, my rueful tirade aside, I'm glad this gives you a nice cozy relaxing, reading time. Stay safe in the snow and hope you get to lose yourself in some wonderful biblioworld. :)

Vicki, your UNO shelf just called and said it is happy to have the book nicely placed in it. And it thanks you for doing so, so swiftly. Haha! :)

88432 Kathryn wrote: "The book is Red. The dragon itself is red within the book. The cover I have is practically all red. So, i think it should count?."

Oh, in that case it totally should. Maybe its the settings on my computer screen that it seemed more orange - but if the physical book bleeds red, then we should be golden!

I am just going to pop this in with the Mods, so that there is no concern later and all our bases are covered.

EDIT: It is red enough - comes from the fellow captains and Mods! We are good. YAAAAY! :D

Ummm... this is interesting! I, for one, think it is more orangey than red. Do you happen to have the physical book on your person, Laura? If it is red there, then I believe we have a solid case.

88432 Speaking off,

I have to commend all of you guys for being so diligent with noting down all possible letters that would apply from your book. It certainly helps in moving things around and making sure we capture as many letters, as quickly and as effectively as we can!

THANK YOU FOR BEING SUCH AN AWESOME TEAM! :D

I would recommend holding off on it till March, because we only need one more Green card this month, which hopefully can be covered in the next 3 weeks. I agree with your point, that we may have new Green cover requirements in March, and this may come in handy then.

But, if you have to read this for another challenge this month, go ahead! We can always search for new books. :)

I kept that up until a few years ago when they reshelved the books by genre. My system was based on starting at A "

That is a FANTASTIC way of choosing your books in a library, Elisabeth! I bet you read a lot of authors you weren't expecting to, and ending up adding so many new favourites. This is brilliant! I'm totally going to try this the next time I find myself in the library.

I think you did go quite far. Probably up to U or V, maybe?

Apoorv you will know, I'm sure. You can use it as a reverse if necessary."

Oh wow! 12-Apr-1969? I am rather impressed by you actually remembering the exact date. Please tell me you have a spreadsheet where you list all your read books and I'm not the only crazy one here. Imagine having a spreadsheet since 1969! Makes my analytical brain go weeeeeeeeee!! :D

I think this should work as a Reverse, if need be, even though you added the book later to your shelf but read it "clearly" before GoodReads was even a thought!

88432 Glad we had a book that starts with a number.
So, here are the rules for that.

------------------------------
What is the rule is around titles that start with a number? Do you spell out the number or skip it and use the first letter of the first actual word? I was thinking of 99 Percent Mine by Sally Thorne
You spell it out, so 99 Percent Mine would be N. :)
