88432 The version I'm listening to is narrated by Miranda Richardson. I had to google who she is and she played Rita Skeeter in the Harry Potter films.

I will be honest, I am struggling a lot with The Horse and His Boy, but it's very rare that I won't finish a book so I will finish it, especially as I see that we want to use it for the word orange. I am focusing on finishing The Titan's Curse first and then the other one will be my main focus.

88432 I just started listening to The Witches. I've checked the word count and the audiobook is over 4 hours.

After a quick look, I don't think it will cover much for the cards, but might help with the mini.
The Witches by Roald Dahl
That cover looks like the colour of the outside of a passionfruit to me, perhaps we could use it? If not, there is white on the cover and the word Lady was said about 5 times in the first 5 minutes of the book. I don't have page numbers, but one of the quotes was "Perhaps she is just a nice LADY".

I have updated the spreadsheet and if I don't finish the audiobook today, it will probably be tomorrow.

88432 I had my last day of my old job yesterday and I don't start my new job until next monday, so I hope to finish up the books I am reading in that time and maybe an audiobook or two.

88432 I finished Too Close to Home today. The spreadsheet has been updated and I've listed the words I found for the mini.

'...spun around in a slow CIRCLE trying to think where to put it' p76
"Damn, Carma! That's COLD!" p23
Diagonally - Forensic tape on cover is diagonal.
'Harold wasked over to the DRY erase board beside their desks.' p53
'...out of a box, an ELECTRIC razor...' p94
'... hand around an icy whiskey GLASS...' p136
'...a pair of WHITE latex GLOVES out of the duffle bag...' p20
'... a pretty pale blonde haired LADY poked her head out.' p31
'... pointing to an old LIME-green single wide trailer...' p99
'Thankfully the MOON was not only full that night...' p12
'...the sky casting dull pink, ORANGE and purple tint's into the atmosphere...' p155
'...coming from the now empty PLATE in front of her...' p146
'...driven by the pain and PURE hatred.' p230
'...he smiled with his thin SHARP lips...' p17
'...were deep cuts in her STOMACH.' p18
'...hint of excitement with a TOUCH of pride in her voice.' p91

88432 Yeah, it was in the Percy Jackson book I’m reading. I’ve found some other words, but I was just asking in case I came across any of the other numbers we needed like that
Feb 15, 2020 02:30PM

88432 So, I found 300 but written out. "Nobody has used thy in like three hundred years" Would that count or does it have to be the actual number?

88432 I have Beowulf to read which according to Goodreads is exactly 120 pages, so I can read that. I pretty much have next week off, so I should be able to get a fair bit of reading done.

*edit* Sorry guys, I opened the ebook and saw the way the text was and suddenly worried the word count won't be enough. Annoyingly, it is about 950 words short of the required amount, so I can't use it :(

88432 I may have one with 120 pages. I'll check a bit later when I get to my laptop

88432 So looking at the mini-challenge, there are a few things that the books I'm reading can cover from the get go.

The Titan's Curse: Pen (will almost definitely come up again).

Too Close to Home: white (on the cover), diagonally (cover), Lady (cover).

The Horse and His Boy: Orange (cover).

88432 I do like Richard Armitage. I used to have a bit of a crush on him. But I do also like David Tennant.

Anyway, I finished The Return of the King and the spreadsheet has been updated.

88432 I’m still here and I hope to finish an audiobook at work this afternoon and then I’ll update the spreadsheet when I get home.

A couple of the books I’ve been reading just aren’t holding my interest so I might put those on hold and find others that I will enjoy more and therefore read quicker.
Feb 10, 2020 09:28AM

88432 I know I haven't finished anything in a little while, but I am working on a few books and should finish one tomorrow and another one at some point over the next few days.
Feb 05, 2020 01:13PM

88432 I finished The Two Towers
Feb 04, 2020 04:25AM

88432 I started The Little Book of Essex by Dee Gordon last night which on my library app looks more yellow than on here, but even if we decide it's not yellow enough, it should cover most card numbers with all the names and places mentioned.
Feb 03, 2020 12:50PM

88432 I just finished Grimm's Fairy Tales. I've updated the spreadsheet.
Feb 03, 2020 09:35AM

88432 I've pretty much done exactly the same thing. Due to having a lot of trouble sleeping last night, I have almost finished an audiobook which I will finish tonight.
Feb 02, 2020 11:00AM

88432 I got a little upset last night (the events of the past few weeks got to me, but I'm fine now) so I didn't really feel up for reading. Instead I listened to an audiobook. I started a different one in case I fell asleep (which I did, but I will go back to where I remember), so I am now also listening to Grimm's Fairy Tales by Jacob Grimm which also has a green cover if it helps. I've read it before, back in 2013 according to goodreads so I know what to expect. I've added it to the spreadsheet.
Feb 01, 2020 11:41AM

88432 I started an ebook this morning that I didnt want to stop reading, but I had to because of work. I then started an audiobook at work and hoped to get more of that listened to than I did. I'm also going to start a book tonight.
Jan 31, 2020 11:09AM

88432 Yeah, I thought so. Was worth a try :P

I just finished the book I was reading so I am ready to go for tomorrow!
Jan 31, 2020 10:23AM

88432 I had a small panic in the bath (where I do most of my thinking). I'm planning to start The Horse and His Boy tomorrow and I suddenly realised it might not have enough words to count! But I just checked and it has 48k words so it's all good. Panic over.

The Horse and His Boy (Chronicles of Narnia, #3) by C.S. Lewis
Also this is the cover of the version I have. I know it's a long shot but we can't class that as yellow, can we?
