88432 Finished The Last Olympian. The quote for the goblet is "He poured a GOBLET of wine into the hole.." p193.

88432 I'm on track to finish The Last Olympian which covers 9 and also has many words which I've kept track of. The most exciting one I found from the receipe was GOBLET but there was also many more. I'll get the quotes when I've finsihed it which I'll do as soon as I can.

88432 I finshed The Emerald City of Oz yesterday.

I don't have page numbers, but words include;
"That was because they rolled EGGS at us"
"but otherwise they were PURE WHITE"
"His throat was parched and DRY"
"including some of the luscious STRAWBERRIES"
"The yellow hen had SHARP eyes"
"We're the SPOON Brigade"
"I haven't pulled out a QUARTER of his whiskers yet"
".. had disappeared in the air SCRAMBLEd out of the hollow ball"
"the cow jumped over the MOON"
"a silver lily with one LEAF bent over"

I could look for others if we need it.

88432 Okay. What Happens In Vegas definitely had STRAWBERRIES as they ordered 'chocolate covered strawberries' from room service at one point. The words WINE and GLASS would have come up several times as all they did was drink. FRUIT came up as one of them had a bowl of fruit for breakfast.
There was probably lots more and I don't have page numbers as it was an audiobook, but if it's absolutely needed, I could try and find exact quotes and page numbers.

With The Arctic Incident words appeared including:
'Lyubkhin laughed. "HOT cola. From the Fowl Star." p2
'A familiar ELECTRIC buzz was crackling over his skin' p13
'Inside the pipe, an ORANGE jelly pulsed gently' p249
'..falling to the Earth with a THICK slap' p256
Those are just a few I found from a quick skim. It's probably got many others which I can look for if we need it.

The Emerald City of Oz would cover a letter E in the spell it out. Or I can easily look for words as it's a kindle book. I should finish it some point this week.

88432 I finished The Arctic Incident.

I'm happy with the Vanguard Sabayon one.

88432 I finished What Happens In Vegas and I should finish The Arctic Incident tonight, but if not then definitely tomorrow.

In regards to the mini, I don't really mind what we go for. I haven't had a chance to look into it much, but I will have a look later if I can. Otherwise I'll be happy to go along with whatever you guys choose.

88432 Finished The Road to Oz
Mar 31, 2020 08:06AM

88432 The story looks good to me Cat.

I've only got a couple of chapters left of The Road to Oz so I'll finish that tomrrow.
Mar 28, 2020 12:08PM

88432 Oh yeah, I also have The Road to Oz (Oz, #5) by L. Frank Baum which looks green to me and I am not far off finishing (I checked and it meets the requirements). It will work for 3 Green. If it's not green enough then it fits other things including 8. You could even argue that it is yellow.
I've added it to the spreadsheet.

88432 Personally, it looks more grey when you look closer but from a distance it looks greeny.

I have The Last Olympian (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #5) by Rick Riordan which will fit several Yellow cards.

I started The Zoo by Christopher Wilson last night which so far doesn't cover much, but hopefully more useful things come up.

I could read The Arctic Incident (Artemis Fowl, #2) by Eoin Colfer which is a blue cover and the authors name is Eoin so it would cover an 8 if we don't use it for the blue cover. It would be a re-read for me so shouldn't take too long. I also have the other books in the Artemis Fowl series to read so I could try and work on those for the 8's. The Eternity Code (Artemis Fowl, #3) by Eoin Colfer has a red cover so it would work for the Red 8 if I work hard to read them in time.

I don't want to claim too much, but those are options that I can work on.

Yeah, what I have been reading has been from audiobooks, but I have so many physical and ebook that I almost feel guilty when I don't pick either up for days

88432 I've been going to work this week (even though what I do isn't essential, but apparently they thought so) and after sending almost all the rest of the company home yesterday, they finally said my department can stay at home. Because I'm still in training, I can't work from home so I guess I have lots of free time now.
I've had a hard time focusing on reading this past week, but maybe that will change now that I have lots of time on my hands.

88432 Finished The Workhouse Waif

I'm not sure if I'll get anything else finshed this month, but I'll at least make progress on a couple of books for April.
Mar 19, 2020 02:42PM

88432 I finished The Battle of the Labyrinth.
Mar 18, 2020 12:48PM

88432 We don't have enought laptops at work for everyone to work from home and because I deal with sensitive information, I can't just use my own... so if my work gets shut down then I won't be able to work.

In book news, I finished The Picture of Dorian Gray today. For the mini it fits; 5. starts something new, 12. takes a risk, 15. on a mission, 21 someone leaves (dies)

I will finish The Battle of the Labyrinth tomorrow
Mar 18, 2020 06:34AM

88432 That's such a shame, but very understandable.
My work is still continuing so for now I'm still carrying on the same.
I hope everyone else is doing okay.
Mar 16, 2020 11:49AM

88432 I finished Coraline today. For the mini: 8. New-to-me author, 12. takes a risk, 15. on a mission.

Although I haven't quite finished it yet, The Battle of the Labyrinth would cover 4. adventure, 5. starts something new, 11. has a dog (hellhound count?), 12. takes a risk, 13. overprotective character, 14. goes to school, 15. on a mission. Potentially 21. someone leaves (there will probably be a death by the end).

88432 I finished It's Not Summer Without You and I've now added it to the spreadsheet.
I didn't manage to finish the other audiobook at work, but I only have about an hour left, so I'll probably finish it tomorrow.
