8565 Just starting Where the Forest Meets the Stars by Glendy Vanderah, which I have heard a lot of good things about. I am leading a book discussion on it in another group, so I need to get crackin'. So far I am finding it intriguing and it is certainly holding my attention.

I loved The Hunt for Red October. I read Fall On Your Knees, too. I actually read both of those in the 90s, lol.

I know, lol. And it is not a small book either. I seem to be drawn to big books that start slow, lol.

8565 I know how you feel, Bea and Karin. Here I am talking about how my kids were born in the early 90s, and then our members start talking about how they were all kids in the 90s. To give you all some perspective, when I was a kid, if I didn't get something done fast enough, my Mom would say, "When are you going to get that done? 1999?" because that was so far in the future that it was not even fathomable.

Anyway, for my books from the list, I think I will go for either Dragonfly in Amber or A Game of Thrones as they both fit challenges in another group I am in.

I second Sarah Addison Allen. Her books are usually pretty light and fun.
