I have Ghostwalk to read myself.

I will be starting with Loving Frank. If I can fit another it will most likely be Nefertiti.
My suggestions of good biographical fictions:..."
I LOVE Margaret George. The Memoirs of Cleopatra and The Autobiography of Henry VIII: With Notes by His Fool, Will Somers are two of my faves. I also have Mary, Called Magdalene and Mary Queen of Scotland and The Isles and have been coveting a copy of The Confessions of Young Nero

As for others, when I looked at the list, the first page was filled with books that I have listed as "to read" in various forms. I think I will also try to read :
Circling the Sun, which I have been longing to read for a while and My Dear Hamilton: A Novel of Eliza Schuyler Hamilton which I have been coveting and just received my copy of.

Having said all of that, I can see myself putting a book on a "keeper" list even though I do not own it or plan to own it if it is a book that really moved me or that I may want to read again sometime.
As for my list - I could go on and on, as I own a LOT of books, but I think you all will get the idea from my answer above.

After looking at the list, what criteria do you think people used to class a book as a Keeper?
What about you? What would make a book a "keeper" to you? What criteria would you use?
Do you have to own a book for it to be a "keeper"?
What is your short list of "keepers"?
As always, I hope you all have fun discussing these questions. :)
Happy reading!

It seemed that there were a lot of books on the list that looked interesting. I can't wait to see what you all read. And if you want, include a quote from the book in your review. I love seeing the quotes!
Remember, to be eligible to be the shelf picker for July, you must post a review in this thread!
Happy reading!

These Old Shades
The Masqueraders
Guards! Guards!
Neuromancer
Seven Up
I will probably start with on..."
I haven't read a Georgette Heyer in quite a while. She used to be a favorite of both my Mom and I

You are right about the influences. I can see parts of all of those in the books. And I agree about how the books played out, too. I thought Twilight was the best, followed by Eclipse. New Moon was good, but not great, and I didn't really care for Breaking Dawn. For one thing, I thought it was way too long.

I have had that one on my TBR forever. I even own a hardback copy, but have never gotten to it.

To Kill a Mockingbird
The Catcher in the Rye

Great list Jamie. Some of my favorites on there. I am a Mark Twain fanatic, and Rebecca is one of my all time faves. To Kill a Mockingbird is timeless, Neverwhere is my favorite Gaiman to date (I wish he would write a sequel)., and my son has read The Hitchiker's Guide so many times his copy fell apart.

I loved these books. Didn't like the movies, though, but I thought the books were very Romeo and Juliet.

My favorite book of poems for sure!

The Fault in Our Stars
Dragonfly in Amber
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society
or I might read Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal as a number of people have recommended it to me.

Have fun picking out what you are going to read, I can't wait to see everyone's lists.

I started that book a long time ago, but ended up having to return it too the library. It is actually on my to be finished list.

If you get a chance, also visit the Montly discussion thread and give your two cents worth.
Also, in order to be available to be chosen as the June shelf picker, you must post at least one review in this folder
Have a great reading month!

1. What type of wishlist do you have? Is if for books you want to own, books you want to read, or a combination?
2. How do the books on your list get there? Recommendations from friends and family, Goodreads reviews, Blogs, or some other way?
3. How do you decide that you want to own a book as opposed to just borrowing it and reading/listening to it?
4. Do books ever make it off of your wishlist, or does you list just keep getting longer and longer (like mine)?

Sorry all. Totally my fault. I have put up the "what will you read" shelf for April and it is Wishlist
There should be a lot for everyone as it is a rather general shelf. Check it out.
