801397 I found a Banshee series with the first one being Midnight Screams that I might check out for October.

801397 Since we had February and June as months to "choose your own book for the theme" and they are 4 months apart, figured why not go with doing that every 4 months (for this year anyway). So October will be "choose your own book" for the theme of Irish Creatures.

What books do you know of that feature Irish Creatures?

Since I don't really know of Irish Creatures I just googled "Irish creatures" and plenty pop up! Banshee, Leprechaun, Changeling, Selkie, Merrow and several others.

801397 Having been born with vacterl association and being medically complex I grew up feeling like a freak and all alone. It's rare and it felt like I was the only one with my issues. Most Dr's haven't heard of the stuff I have. So as an adult when FB came on the scene I ended up eventually finding groups for vacterl association. I found other people with the same issues I have. That understood.

I know Social Media has a lot of problems. But it's also meant the world to me to finally be able to know i'm not alone and to be able to talk to others with the same medical issues. We've even been able to help each other with important medical things. So I see 2 sides to social media. The bad and the good.

That said I don't do much on FB anymore. It's just a means to message people or talk in the groups, like the vacterl ones. I only use Instagram to like other's pictures really. Rarely do I post anything on there myself.

I use Twitter mostly. Even that I don't really go through my feed often.

Thanks. At least i'm learning what I don't like. And I did like parts of it. Just..not enough. It happens though. Makes the hits that much sweeter. :)

801397 I tried to like it, I really did. But due to personal reasons I just couldn't. So I gave it 2 stars https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

I've never heard of them being interchangeable...that's interesting. Learn something new everyday. Here i've been wanting to scream at the book "there is an e in it! You keep spelling it wrong for seemingly no reason and it's starting to drive me up a wall!" lol

I learned differently. Interesting. Thank you for telling me. :) I hadn't thought to look it up. I remember learning in school "bye" means "good-bye" and "by" means "next to". Language might have changed, it does constantly. Not something I would have thought of though.

Now i'm intrigued lol.

801397 I've finished Part 1 so far, and i'm into it. It's like "well...that escalated quickly".

801397 I've read 6 chapters now. I'm going rather slow but i'm liking it. I'm curious as to where it goes.
Aug 12, 2019 04:33PM

801397 To that level doesn't happen too often to me either, but it does sometimes. I've gotten better over time. But better doesn't mean perfect.

801397 Latasha wrote: "There’s times when I have to skip over things. It’s usually not much but it does happen."

That's probably what I should do when I sometimes find myself racing through triggering scenes to get them over with, hopefully, before I get a panic attack. When the racing through them doesn't work i'll put it down and pick it back up as many times as I need to to get through it. So triggering scenes i'll either get through super fast or super slow. There is no in between. I should probably learn to just skip them.

801397 Latasha wrote: "I don’t remember that. I would probably skip over that if I was rereading it."

In my mind it's a book sin to skip over things lol. That's probably to my detriment. But it is my first time reading it. I've read the second chapter now. I've been up a long time so that's probably it for today but i'll read more tomorrow.

Thanks. I'm glad it wasn't just me. I was wondering "Am I being too sensitive because I have less than 10 fingers?" but otherwise i'm finding it ok, but i've only read one chapter so far so that isn't much to go on lol.
