749599 These four kinda call to me right now.

Dark Shores (Dark Shores, #1) by Danielle L. Jensen Four Dead Queens by Astrid Scholte Before the Broken Star (The Evermore Chronicles #1) by Emily R. King Black Sun (Between Earth and Sky, #1) by Rebecca Roanhorse
749599 I found that same reading order as you, and two other, and I like this one the best because it has months when the books take place.
https://www.patriciabriggs.com/books/...

I hadn't planned on reading the novellas and short stories, but..I see there are a lot of short stories, so I got Shifting Shadows and will read the stories when it's required. Are you going to read them? I don't know if the Mercy novella/short stories make some importance, however you MUST read Alpha & Omega before Cry Wolf.

I already read the novella, and first two books of A&O series. So if you are joining me on this journey, I'll wait for you to read them. And we can talk in this thread, I'll skim the books so that I have at least a small knowledge of what's going on because I'm not rereading it, and I'm sure I forgot 99% of it.
749599 Okay, great. I managed to read only chapter 4. I had something today that I had to get up early, so I was tired after that and I took 2 naps 😂😅 I also super procrastinated writing the intro for Group reads nomination so that too took some of my time. I'll pick it up tomorrow when I'm, hopefully, more rested.

It's been a while for me too. Besides finishing the series, both series, this year I don't have much of a preference, but 1-2 a month should be good so that we finish it this year. I have so many things stared, and I usually don't follow through with reading them. The Mercy books are fairly new for me, because I stared them at the end of 2020.. but still.

However, I would like to follow the MT universe way of reading books, like it's shown here. I don't know if there's some bigger importance in reading them in this order, so I'll have to do more research tomorrow, but from what I saw it's taking place in different years so it might have some significance since the supernaturals are letting the world know they exist, and in the A&O we have the Marrok, who's like the alpha of all alphas.

I think I'll have to look through the way the MT universe books are set, because I think the link I put here puts the books in chronological order of publishing not in the chronological order of things happening. I'll deal with that tomorrow at some normal hour, and write you a normal message because this one is chaotic 😂

749599 Hello Procrastinators,
I hope you had a wonderful start to the year, and that it'll continue through out the rest of it. February is short, but let's make most of it and read some good books!

If you don't participate in any of our challenges, give them a try because Laurel did an amazing job creating them Tackle that TBR Vol.5, Procrastinators Buzzreads, or maybe you are more interested in our quarterly challenge Blind Date With a Book.

Anyone can nominate as many books as you'd like and look for a buddy! Any book that gets two nominations or more will have a buddy thread created for discussion during December. Please decide your start date and reading pace/reading goals in this thread. Once that has been decided, the mods will create a Buddy Read Discussion thread for that title. Reading the Buddy Read Guidelines is strongly recommended. There is no promise that you will have a buddy read for your nomination(s).

749599 Little Mermaid
The mermaid made me roll my eyes.. True love is worth any cost.. Suuuuure. The know-it-all annoyed me.

Rumpelstiltskin
Liked that the Devil was so amused with the new characters in his game.

Peter Pan
Wow, this started so toxic.. I don't think I ever liked Peter Pan much.. But all in all the story took a better turn, and it was okay, I liked it.
749599 I didn't read it today, and I don't know if I'll be able to read tomorrow, but I listen to books at a faster speed and this isn't the biggest book so it'll go by fast.

Let's talk about the next one already 😂 Are we going to read them one after the other or how? Also, I know I want to read the Alpha and omega books since they are in the same universe, how about you?
749599 I almost forgot what was happening with Max Hastings and that she posted the audio on her podcast.

I like that we got told the stages the body goes through after death. I'm sure I've heard it a lot of times in TV shows, however I never paid that much attention to actually remember it, I'm not saying I'll remember it now either, but it made me pay more attention to it.

I read the first 10 chapters. I have to say I'm not as hooked to the story as with the previous books, but there's still time since things are just starting to get suspenseful.
749599 Started it and read the first 3 chapters.

Oh-oh.. will this be the book where she has to actually choose between Adam and Sam..
It's too early to comment on anything else. Maybe on the fact that I think we'll be getting to "work" with other species in different books. I don't recall what happened in the first book, but in the second we had vampires, now we have fae, and there are a bunch of supernaturals.
749599 No problem, started the novellas with you, and will finish them with you :D
749599 Yeah, the original gang was so much more fun.. in the novellas we had some of them, and it was really nice.
749599 Cinderella is innovative, and I like it. For a second I thought the MC was turned into a mouse, but then we met the actual Cinderella. This one didn't wasn't that wow for me, but I liked that the accent was more on friendship than love.
749599 Now that I finished my other reads I can continue with this one.

Beauty and the Beast
First of all I like that the Beauty is the Beast.
I liked that Mei is not all that kind, behind all that she only wanted to be left alone without a man to control her life, and to have a place of her own. And she was working on that while being the perfect daughter.
749599 @Heather
Are we still on for Evershore? When you are feeling better, of course, and have finished Cytonic.
749599 😂 yeah, I did. I was just thinking.. damn, if I don't finish it now I'll have to make myself pick it up tomorrow.. and I was really not feeling this book so I'm glad it's over. Things got interesting in chapter 39, so after that it picked up a bit.
749599 I started playing a game while listening to the book hoping the time will pass faster and I almost missed (view spoiler)

Ch 39(view spoiler)

Finished the book. So glad it's over. It was okay but also a bit of a disappointment.
