50x66 These reviews are looking great. You can of course review Beware Of Boys too! I would suggest specifying whether there is a specific area of language comprehension you would focus on for guided reading using a text (e.g. sequencing, character descriptions, recognising dialogue etc).

Hi Sharon, there is no need to copy and paste the whole review, just the URL of your review. There's a guide on UEL Plus if you're confused!

50x66 Three great reviews, Riona! I really like Groosham Grange. Have you read any Eva Ibbotson? Her fantasy books for 8+ are great.

50x66 Thanks Claire. I agree, as a book to promote an increased vocabulary and role play for language comprehension, Room on the Broom is great. Have you read Mr. Gumpy's Outing?

50x66 Great reviews, thanks! Melissa, if you like Jacqueline Wilson you may enjoy Anne Fine or Helena Pielichaty, both of whom write great books about families and school with dilemmas and strong girl characters. Another new author I'm enjoying is Susie Day.

Here is the link to your review, Helen http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/.... I agree, this is a beautiful book and a great way into discussing grief and bereavement with children. Have you read Shaun Tan's The Red Tree? a beautiful and profound book about sadness, despair and hope.

Eoin Colfer is a fantastic writer. I love Artemis Fowl and Half-Moon Investigations in particular. Some of his books are more suited to KS3 readers, I think.

That's an interesting idea, Huma. I'd be wary of recommending adult books to children, but John Grisham has written some books for older children about Theodore Boone, a 13 year old boy who wants to be a lawyer.

Fantastic, Deb, thank you! What a lovely book. Owl Babies is another great book that deals with separation anxiety.
