Thanks all! Some fabulous reviews. The books that Barbara uses in RE lessons are amazing. Ciaran, I like the sound of Sophie the Musical Cow- it sounds similar to the wonderful MR Big!

Thanks all! Great reviews. I love Joan Aiken, Simon. Her use of language is really playful and creative; she mixes 19th Century thieves' cant with her own made up slang; I think I'd be tempted to ask children what they think the words mean and to use the words themselves, for fun!

Thank you, Louise and Saffron! I've been meaning to read Unforgotten Coat for ages, Saffron, and I now will. Louise, I really enjoyed Delirium. I recommend The Declaration and sequels- perhaps not for KS2, but as a great read.

Great reviews, everyone! Simon, you might enjoy H.I.V.E. Higher Institute of Villainous Education, another great adventurous story with a teenage criminal mastermind, which has a lot of humour in it.
