Not feeling like reading or too much other stuff to do?"
Thanks,
It's a bit of column A and a bit of column B.
The slump started because of having way too much to do (which will be the case for the next year and a half) but continued because I began to binge-watch tv shows when I had time, instead of reading.
My reading has been so subpar over the last two years, that I don't even know if I should start a thread for 2019. It's depressing.
The new one (it doesn’t have a model name, it’s just 10th gen). I like the size of it.It’s $129.99 (or $26 a month for 5 months with their payment plan option).
I love my current Paperwhite but it started showing signs of age a few months ago.
I can’t remember if it’s 5th or 6th gen.
Amazon has a new Kindle coming out that is water resistant, and s Audible compliant. So you can switch between reading and listening as needed. It also has a higher capacity, and free cellular connectivity. I told my kids that that’s what I want for Christmas this year, with the blue case! 😊

How did I miss your comment, HiMS!?!
And so true, Christa!
Orlok wrote: "Great to see you. Keep up the reading 😀"Thank you! I'm happy to see you too. I'm trying too. :)

I've missed you too. :)
So...Yeah. All of my reading had been work and school related, so far, this year, until now.I am on a mission to complete the Codex Alrea series by the end of this year. I'm currently 3/4 of the way through Book #1 - Furies of Calderon.
My calculus class was heading towards an epic fail due to my current work schedule, so I withdrew from it and will try it again this summer when I won't be working. I think I know what classes I'll take this spring, but until then I'm hoping to work and read.
I'm enjoying FoC. The characters are engaging, and the size of the book belies the ease and speed of the read. 500+ pages in as many days is good pacing for me. It would usually take me twice as long when my schedule is busy like it is now.
Other than that, I hope all is well with everyone else. I'm sorry that I disappear as often as I do. Just know that I think of my GR friends often and wish you all the best.

Hi Doodle Panda, I am now officially behind on both my buddy reads and my personal challenge. It may take me a bit to catch up.I got very little leisure reading time this week.

Awww! (((Hugs)))
I say, go to one extreme to the other:
(a) A tried and true, absolutely love it every time you pick it up, story.
or
(b) Something so out of your wheelhouse and experimental that you think you've entered the Twilight Zone (but hopefully in an enjoyable way).
Orlok wrote: "At the speed, you're going you should consider joining Doodles' Bingo Challenge. It's never too late..."Thanks. :) I had the same reaction to the Bingo challenge that you had to the Series challenge - too much for me to wrap my head around at the moment.

(view spoiler)
Book four - Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire - is my favorite of the entire series, with the following book - the Order of the Phoenix being my least favorite (I won’t even acknowledge Cursed Child). I agree the OofP may be a bit too much for him st this age.
I’m so happy both you and your son are enjoying the series. Although it’s been years since I’ve read them, I love the Potter series and I think it will always have a special place in my heart.

^Ditto Panda's post. :)
