Sookie Stackhouse - Reread & Complete
The Hollows - Reread & Complete
The Demon Cycle - New to Me
Codex Alera - From my Wishlist
The Hobbit / Lord of the Rings - Reread
Innkeeper Chronicles - Reread & Complete
So if the reading gods decide to shine their light on me in 2018, I will complete 44 novels in a single year - something I haven't done in at least five years.

Sookie Stackhouse - Reread & Complete
The Hollows - Reread & Complete
The Demon Cycle - New to Me
Codex Alera - From my Wishlist
The Hobbit / Lord of the Rings - Reread
Innkeeper Chronicles - Reread & Complete

There are two other collections in the entire series, but I'm not sure whether or not I'll get to them this year. "
Silly me. I went looking around Amazon, and found that there weren't just two more collections, there were six more collections for a total of 10! They had just never been added to the main series page with the others, so I used my librarian powers to correct that oversight.
I guess I'll be reading more romance shorts next winter as well.
In the meantime, I have the next set on deck - Weddings - yay (no - you did not hear a hint of sarcasm ... well... maybe); and here is my post for the Holiday set I just finished.
2017 Read #15

That was a good idea! And yes, books in all formats are getting more expensive.
Of the five series that I plan to read, I already have four of them are in paperback, except for some of the bonus stories. I have not purchased the fifth set yet because the last book in that series won't be available in paperback until 2019 and the e-book is $14.99. I just can not justify $15 for an e-book no matter how much I want to read it; plus this series is new to me, so I don't even know if I'll get that far. Its a buddy read series in another group, so I'm going to wait until closer to the scheduled time which is June.

Thank you! You too!! :)

Wow! That's impressive!
I don't even know how many freebies I have. I remember going into a downloading frenzy when I got my first Kindle years ago, and I know I didn't read everything I put on that Kindle Keyboard.
I'm hoping by having an actual plan in place for 2018 I'll be able to spend more time reading and less time being moody and indecisive about what to read.

and to read some of the books I've already read."
That sounds like a good plan too.

Sookie Stackhouse - Reread & Complete
The Hollows - Reread & Complete
The Demon Cycle - New to Me
Codex Alera - From my TBR
The Hobbit / Lord of the Rings - Reread
That's my entire plan.
There are 41 main novels.
My children bought the Codex Alera series for me for Christmas; so I think I have all of the books for next year except for the Demon Cycle series.
As for the bonus stories:
I know I have all of them now for the Sookie Stackhouse series, or I'll at least have all of the ones included in The Complete Sookie Stackhouse Stories.
I think I have access to all of the ones for The Hollows too. I borrowed The Turn: The Hollows Begins with Death, and bought both of the graphic novels Blood Work & Blood Crime last month. Plus I have the anthologies from years ago.
If I'm missing any of them, then it's the stories that come after book #13: The Witch With No Name.
There aren't any bonus stories for Codex or the LOTR, so I should be good.
The challenge will be reading all of those while caring for house & home, taking my classes at uni, and teaching fourth-grade math for an indefinite amount of time.

There are two other collections in the entire series, but I'm not sure whether or not I'll get to them this year.

Hey! Welcome, CR! :)

Nice! Congratulations!

WOOHOO! :D"
LOL! Alright, young lady! If you can't even remember, then I'm giving your spot to Orlok! :P

Well, you may have to haggle about that with DoodlePanda for next year. I already promised her that I'd try to put my thread up while I was sleeping so that she'd have a chance. :)
Although she did get "First" on my 2017 thread... Hmmm

Oh! I guess I should have updated my thread, huh?

@Spacechick - To answer your question, yes, but there were times when I wasn't so sure. I never considered putting it down, but I did question why I was reading it a time or two. In the end, I'm glad I did.

Hi GA!
No, I opted for My True Love Gave To Me: Twelve Holiday Stories, which I just started a few minutes ago after finishing American Gods.
