I almost suggested The One That Got Away for the story, so that's funny. 😂

35559 Perfect. Thanks, Lexi. Anything "claimed" on the spreadsheet right now will definitely get read. Anything I'm unsure of, I won't add to Djibouti or mini 3. This will make life easier. I appreciate the flexibility.

35559 Is it ok to go ahead and add my next few books to the spreadsheet, even if I'm not sure they will be finished in round 2? I'm not done for this round yet, but I'm trying to plan for some travel and trying to avoid bringing the laptop with me. I can usually make it work from my phone if the books are already added. If that's confusing, I'll make it work a different way. Thanks :)

35559 I think Christmas would be the easiest one for me, but I'm open to anything. I understand that Christmas can be kind of overdone...especially if that doesn't happen to be a holiday someone celebrates. I'm also up for a challenge. I think I'm signed up for the lowest number of books on our team. So I'll go along with any plan.

35559 Do we need to choose a holiday for the new mini-challenge?

This notifications issue is SOOO bothersome. I have to keep logging out of Goodreads (on all devices) and then logging back in. It works...for a little while. And then I have to do it again. I know that trick hasn't worked for everyone, but it has (knock on wood) been working for me lately. Good luck! And good luck with your reading slump.

35559 I'll finish the Jennette McCurdy book for "I". It's a very fast read. Whatever I start next, I'll plan on putting towards round 2. I'm fairly busy the next few days, so I think that will be perfect timing.

It's not fun, but it's manageable. Some of it is fine and then when the machine finds the "sweet spot" it hurts a little, but more in a "quick flinch" way. Not like minutes of pain. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

I'm happy to read for it, but I don't have my heart set on it or anything. It will probably be round 2 before I would get around to it, so if you get to it first, please feel free! For planning purposes, I'm ok with you penciling me in if you need help.

At least I think I'm understanding how this mini works now! 😊

Thanks! I think I did read this, but information about these mini-challenges is not cementing itself in my brain. I'll look at the list.

So, if I sign up for book 1 in a ladder, does that mean everyone else has to wait on me to finish before they can read? I have several books that's end with e that are booked I own. But I just started a different book. I could do that first one if you can wait a few days for me to finish and it can be a different book that ends with e.

I think it is being used to treat a few other things! Like shin splints or tennis elbow. I think the important thing is to get a good diagnosis because it targets soft tissue injuries. So, for me, she had to rule out a stress fracture before she recommended it.

35559 Jumping into the plantar fasciitis discussion. During Covid, I worked at a public library. We had to close the doors, but people were allowed to place holds and sign up for a pick up time where we would leave books right outside the door. So basically, we speed walked around the building for 8 hrs a day trying to get everyone their stuff and I got plantar fasciitis. It was so painful. I found a foot and ankle clinic that recommended radial pulse therapy and it was, by far, the most effective thing I tried. After a couple of treatments, I noticed a difference. It breaks down existing scar tissue and helps circulation. It's not a pleasant treatment, but not awful and 100% worth it. At least it was for me. I hope this helps someone.

This one does look difficult. It looks like we'll also need to tackle some series books as a team, correct?

I'm having some issues getting the correct edition saved now. I click "switch to this edition" and all looks good, but when I come back it has changed back to the default.
