I was excited to find a copy of Princess of Burundi on my shelf, but it isn't actually set in Burundi. It's set in Sweden. :(

I almost said Janet Evanovich! I changed my answer because I've read almost everything she has written. Even some of the super old stuff. No judgement here!
Hello teammates!I'm Denise. I live in the U.S. I'm a little rusty on Tower Teams, but I have played it a couple of times in the past. I'll be the one over here asking lots of questions. :)
I'll read just about anything, but definitely read more mysteries, thrillers/mild horror, or rom coms (the com is important!). I also love magical realism and quirky characters.
Here's a link to my tower teams shelf: Tower Teams 2025
🏯What are your favourite places in the world? Santorini, Greece (in the off-season. I'm not a fan of crowds). I also loved Hawaii and Roatan, Honduras.
🏯 What are the places you would love to visit the most? I'd love to visit the rest of the Hawaiian Islands, Ireland, Spain...it's a pretty long list, actually.
🏯Preferred mode of travel? Ohhh....I've never really given this much thought. Maybe airplane? Although I think a cruise would be fun. We haven't done that yet.
🏯Desert Island question: if you were allowed to take the (all) books of only three authors with you, who would they be? This is also tricky. I'll say Stephen King (because he has tons of books and writes multiple genres), Jojo Moyes (I just like her writing), and J.D. Kirk (I couldn't decide on a third author and I just discovered him, so his books would keep me busy for a while).
Honorable mention: M.C. Beaton (she has tons of books, too!)
I'm looking forward to this challenge. We do have a busy summer planned, but I'll do my best to keep up!
Hello Team Lotus Tower. Just popping in to say hi and admire the pics of your beautiful tower. Seriously - so pretty! Happy reading! :)
MelanieJoy wrote: "I’ve been seeing Donna Andrews in my library search once I searched for similar to “Every time I go on Vacation Someone Dies”. I May check her out!"I just got approved for an advanced copy of No One Was Supposed to Die at This Wedding! It might have to be an early Tower Teams read.

Ok, thanks. I'll check them out. It's so hard to tell if cozies are serious or silly because they all have silly titles. 😂
RachelG. wrote: "One of my favorite cozy mystery author's is Donna Andrews. I'm re-reading all her books this year and they still are just as good the second time."I've actually never read her. Are they funny? Or am I thinking of someone else...

I'm working on Emmaline Duncan's and Vivien Chien's right now.
I cleaned up my TBR during the Covid months and deleted a few hundred that I wasn't interested in anymore, but I need to do it again.

Here's a question not related to wine or dairy (but feel free to continue this discussion as well. Mr. Chonks is my favorite)...I tend to read my comfort genres almost exclusively, but I always say I'm going to branch out. If you were going to recommend a book (from any genre) that would be great for people who don't normally read that genre, what would it be? What's a good "gateway book" to get people hooked?

Mmmm. Our nearest grocery store started stocking refrigerated moscato splits by the checkout. It's dangerous. 😂
Leslie Ann wrote: "I will be flying back from Greece on the 17 th !!! Just in time. How do I edit my submission?"If you need a restaurant recommendation in Greece, my favorite was Athinaikon in Athens. Enjoy your trip!
I signed up. I think our summer may be a little chaotic (I feel like I've been saying this for all of 2025), but I also have FOMO, so I signed up with a conservative number of books per month.

Feel free to reach out to me if there are other fun challenges I'm missing! :)
Thanks again for organizing us, captains! This has been a great team. It was honestly more fun than some of the winning teams I've been on. I love that everyone collaborated and kept it light and fun.
