I'm not sure what I'm picking up next. I have the Hunger Games for the buddy read of course and I've also started The Brothers Karamazov. But I want to have 1-2 more books going on my Kindle. Will spend some time today "sampling" a few options.

It's been a bittersweet read so far. I have a feeling, it's going to end up as one of my top-rated ones for this year.

It's been ages since I've had such a reading session where I can just lose myself in a book without a worry about the rest of the world. This is exactly why I love team challenges.
I'm almost half way through the book already. A few more hours I guess, and I should be done with it :)

I've got The Stationery Shop of Tehran up first. I think I'll be able to finish it before the weekend.
Then I have The Brothers Karamazov. It's over 1000 pages so I think I'll be reading this one in parallel with other books over the next few weeks!
Honestly, can't wait until the countdown!

I'm Sanskriti (feel free to call me Sanz).
I live in Mumbai, India. I am a freelance marketing consultant and even though I work from home, I have really long work days, sometimes even weekends.
But I never go to bed without reading at least a few pages. It's my form of meditation. I read everything under the sun – non-fiction, historical fiction, literary fiction, and high fantasy are some of my favorite genres. I tend to steer clear of romance, but will indulge in them once in a while.
I average about 4 books/month but there's been a drop since last year – I got married, moved apartments, changed jobs – life just got too exciting and I started going slow on my books :)
I find challenges to be a great way to push myself and I LOVE to spend time with other readers, even it's virtually. So I will be hopping into this thread at all hours of the day.
I'd be happy to join in for the re-read of the Hunger Games. I've read all the books but it's been a while and wouldn't mind living through them again.

It was the holiday season here in India and I thought I'd have a lot of free time to catch up on my reading. But it turns out, I've never been busier planning festivities with my family.
Hopefully, I'll get more reading done in the next round!

I don't think I'll get Wild Swans: Three Daughters of China done though – so I'm going to park it for Round 3

That's all the reading from me for Round 1. Now preparing for the next round :)

I think I'm going to start with Unwritten Rules as that should be the fastest read... I'm going to try to ..."
I will start reading Panipat – but since the game begins sometime around 2 am for me, I might only get started on Sunday :)
I also have The Book Thief on my list which I'll read for the letter "Z". I've read the book before so I think it will be a quick one for me.

You're right, not much has changed on Goodreads. I've been nostalgic all day yesterday since joining the team since it reminds me of a time when I was younger and the world was a much simpler place :)
I listen to a lot of Jazz and Alternative music. Haux and Novo Amor are my particular favorites in the Indie genre. I've decided to challenge myself a bit – since this team is called "Pop" I'm going to dive into some Pop music for the next few weeks :)
I read a lot more non-fiction now than I used to, although I do enjoy historical fiction and high fantasy as well.

This is my first team challenge in 8 years – can't believe I've been away from this Group for so long!
I used to be able to read a book a week but for the last 2 years, I haven't been able to keep up thanks to a hectic work schedule and trying to juggle personal responsibilities.
I'm taking a sabbatical from work for a little while and trying to rejuvenate. What better way to rewire myself than to tackle my TBR right? I'm really hoping to get my reading mojo back with this challenge.
I live in Mumbai, India so I'll be in the GMT +5.30 timezone and will try to check in on the discussions a few times a day.
So excited to be playing with all of you :)
