I finished
.. 950 pages. I couldn't put it down so I stayed up to finish it. Loved it. I'm very glad I decided to continue the series.
The book works for the Caprain's challenge, Spring Challenge and the monthly as well. (Amber's a mineral)
I'm off to bed. Have a great day, everyone!

Team, today is the last day for the Captain's Challenge. Can you guys beat us?

Happy Anniversary, Leslie!! And wishing you much much more of those anniversaries!

Welcome Oo! Hope you have fun with us.
I finished
- 409 pages. Will work for the Captain's challenge only. This was a really good book. The female MC was good but I'll hope for more ambiguity. It was a little bit cliche romance but I really liked it.
Also finished
- 482 pages. Again, only for captain's challenge. Loved this book. One of my top favourites for this year. Tackled a few issues that aren't generally seen. Highly recommended :)

Deeded, as long as you finish it in April, it counts :)

There is a picture of the Earth on the cover (it's the smaller planet); however, I read half of the book ..."

Huh, we'll, since the goal is to have fun, let's just say either the cover OR the title must link to the five elements. So as an example, these words work: Mountain, Sea, River, Wind, Gale etc. Does that make sense?

Rhonda, since you set the challenge, you get to decide what goes. For what it's worth, I'd say yes to pic or a word in title.
The Kite Runner is showing both sky and Earth so a definite Yes :)

APRIL MONTHLY CHALLENGEWHEN: April 1 - April 27
WHAT: Read books with one of the 5 elements (Earth, Water, Air, Fire, Space/Sky) or cover with green/blue colors
RULES: 1. The book cover should have either the 5 elements OR the color explicitly. Please add the cover when you post.
2. Book should be read between April 1 and 27 and meet the Tower Team Challenge requirements i.e page count >170
3. Participants in this month-long challenge, please post the book in the thread. If it ties in with any mini-challenge, it has to be stated explicitly. (It makes work easier for us mods)
Happy Reading!
*Remember, books that meet the mini-challenge and the monthly will win you 2 points.

Come on, Team D! Do you want the captains to beat you?

Go, Rebecca!
I had some reading time last weekend and I finished 3 books! Long time since I had so much time on my hand.
- a realllly good contemporary romance. I loved it. Much better than the previous Knox book I read. 230 (ebook version)
- Supposed to be a retelling of Cinderella but I didn't like it so much. It supposedly took place in the 1300s? but it didn't feel like that. A very average book. 342 (paperback)
- A super fantasy-romance book. The world building was excellent and the meeting of cultures was done beautifully. 314 (MMPB)
All 3 count for the captain's challenge.

Midu!! How are you?

I finished
just now. It was ok. I felt the suspense part was not well done. It could have been better. I don't know why it's classified as YA cos it's not. 3 stars for me. I might pick up the next book in the series.

Thanks, Rhonda! I did enjoy!
Thanks, Leslie! It is so good to be back!

I had a looong gap between GoT and this. I remembered the major plot points but not those minor ones. Once I started going, it came back to me. But the climax sorta disappointed me though. It didn't live up to the buildup. I'm so eager to start the next book.
I love door stoppers! It gives me a sense of accomplishment though my GR widget is now scolding me.

Congrats, Rhonda!! Way to go!!

I finished yesterday -
a humongous 1009 pages. I feel like doing a victory dance! And I have another 3 chunkies like that lined up for this month. *Gulp*

Finished
and
. Both should count for the Mystery Challenge.

I'm in. Really enjoying the current round! (A pain to bold my answers from my mobile device. So I didn't, sorry!)
✔ How many books you read in 2012. - 250+
✔ How many books you plan to read 2013 >/160 pages? - 213
(For the whole year, not just what remains...)
✔ If you were in Round I, the percentage of goal reached would be appreciated, if you know it. - I'm on track!
✔ Would you be willing to be a Team Captain? Or Co-Captain? - Yes, probably a co-captain since my RL in a sort of flux right now and that is the best I can guarantee.

I finished
(almost 1000 pages on the edition I had; any points for me?) and
. Both were awesome and count towards the Captain's challenge.

Way to go Chris!!
