35559 Go, Rebecca!

I had some reading time last weekend and I finished 3 books! Long time since I had so much time on my hand.

About Last Night by Ruthie Knox - a realllly good contemporary romance. I loved it. Much better than the previous Knox book I read. 230 (ebook version)
Charming the Prince (Fairy Tales, #1) by Teresa Medeiros - Supposed to be a retelling of Cinderella but I didn't like it so much. It supposedly took place in the 1300s? but it didn't feel like that. A very average book. 342 (paperback)
Warprize (Chronicles of the Warlands, #1) by Elizabeth Vaughan - A super fantasy-romance book. The world building was excellent and the meeting of cultures was done beautifully. 314 (MMPB)

All 3 count for the captain's challenge.
35559 Midu!! How are you?
35559 I finished Darkhouse (Experiment in Terror, #1) by Karina Halle just now. It was ok. I felt the suspense part was not well done. It could have been better. I don't know why it's classified as YA cos it's not. 3 stars for me. I might pick up the next book in the series.
35559 Thanks, Rhonda! I did enjoy!

Thanks, Leslie! It is so good to be back!
35559 I had a looong gap between GoT and this. I remembered the major plot points but not those minor ones. Once I started going, it came back to me. But the climax sorta disappointed me though. It didn't live up to the buildup. I'm so eager to start the next book.

I love door stoppers! It gives me a sense of accomplishment though my GR widget is now scolding me.

35559 Congrats, Rhonda!! Way to go!!
35559 I finished yesterday - A Clash of Kings (A Song of Ice and Fire, #2) by George R.R. Martin a humongous 1009 pages. I feel like doing a victory dance! And I have another 3 chunkies like that lined up for this month. *Gulp*
35559 Finished The Shadowy Horses by Susanna Kearsley and Paradise County by Karen Robards . Both should count for the Mystery Challenge.
35559 I'm in. Really enjoying the current round! (A pain to bold my answers from my mobile device. So I didn't, sorry!)

✔ How many books you read in 2012. - 250+
✔ How many books you plan to read 2013 >/160 pages? - 213
(For the whole year, not just what remains...)
✔ If you were in Round I, the percentage of goal reached would be appreciated, if you know it. - I'm on track!
✔ Would you be willing to be a Team Captain? Or Co-Captain? - Yes, probably a co-captain since my RL in a sort of flux right now and that is the best I can guarantee.
35559 I finished Deadhouse Gates (The Malazan Book of the Fallen, #2) by Steven Erikson (almost 1000 pages on the edition I had; any points for me?) and Wild Invitation (Psy-Changeling 0.5, 3.5, 9.5, 10.5) by Nalini Singh . Both were awesome and count towards the Captain's challenge.
35559 Way to go Chris!!
35559 I finished Hello, Darkness by Sandra Brown and Calculated In Death (In Death, #36) by J.D. Robb . Both will count for the March for Mystery, In Like a Lion and Captain's challenges.
35559 Leslie - it's finish the book between March 1 & 26 for the mystery as well

I did Outlander as a BR with loads of other people and it was fun. The reason was the host of the BR - she was awesome. Always replied to everything and the discussion was very lively. I've tried picking up the next book Dragonfly in Amber (Outlander, #2) by Diana Gabaldon but I have been unsuccessful so far. I'm going to give it another try this month. Hopefully it clicks!
35559 Go, Rebecca, go!!
35559 I just finished Hello, Darkness by Sandra Brown and would be starting Calculated In Death (In Death, #36) by J.D. Robb next.

Leslie - How was Outlander (Outlander, #1) by Diana Gabaldon ?
35559 I finished Pieces of Sky (Blood Rose, #1) by Kaki Warner which should count towards the mini (In Like a Lion) & the Captain's challenge. I loved it. Definitely will be picking up the next book in series.
35559 To re-iterate Leslie on the number of challenges going on right now:

In Like A Lion Mini Challenge: Wed - Sun; read anything on your TBR and post it here!

Captains Challenge: Feb 27 - March 10; all books read and posted on thread count in the read-off.

March For Mystery Monthly: March 1 - March 26; Any Mystery/Suspense Books (shelved by 10 people) posted in the thread.

Looks like Team D is a happening place. I can't wait to see what the team is going to read!
35559 Dee, unfortunately the monthly ended on Feb 24 due to Feb being a short month.

@Deedee - unfortunately the romance challenge ended. But if you finished it..."
